Hardware Cafe is a gem! You're already spoiled by being in beautiful Titirangi, but sitting out in the porch here, having good coffee and some kumara wedges was a treat! We both had a coconut latte and it was a little heavy on the foam to liquid ratio, but it tasted great. The kumara chips were delicious, crispy and hot, with that moreish quality. We did ask for a sweet chilli dip and a tomato ketchup, but we were given sweet chilli and aioli. No bother as we like it anyway, but attention to detail and a little more coffee than froth would have made this a 5 star! Good atmosphere and a great setting.

It was waitangi day and I visited the cafe for coffee. I completely understand it was crazy busy. I ordered turmeric latte and a cappucino. The cappucino was alright but I have uploaded the images for turmeric latte which shows the barista was not as professional as thought. Team, if the barista is not aware about the drink or dish please advise them that you are not able to make it for them or either provide an alternate. Also please dont do this for other customers. There is a big lump of turmeric at the end of the cup which was all stuck and unable to drink and made the drink so strong

My Husband and I went here because we had been a long time ago. We ordered our food and I also ordered an almond croissant after our chips were bought to us I said to my Husband I wonder where my almond croissant was they were busy on and off anyway I said to my Husband would he please check to see where the ordered and paid for almond croissant was he went to the desk and he showed our docket and was told that there weren't any croissants and another couple had walked in and my ordered and paid for croissant wasnt bought to our table it had been sold to two other People who landed up sitting right behind us. We don't advise others to frequent this cafe as this could happen not just to me but others as well and I didn't even get an apology for this...

Can't speak on atmosphere, as I ordered off doordash. I ordered scrambled eggs on sourdough bread for roughly $11 and received some scrambled eggs with no sourdough.. Bit of a rip off, made with maybe 3-4 eggs. I also ordered a smashed egg meal that was meant to come with eggs, spinach, broccoli, pumpkin and halloumi and received two overcooked poached eggs, mescaline lettuce and avocado (which I dont eat) So ingredients missing and things added that weren't in the description. Would not of ordered if I knee there was avocado.

If you don't have all the ingredients in a dish on your menu, then cancel the order, don't add things. You never know what people are allergic too or what they can...

Firstly shout out to the amazing staff at hardware cafe! You made our vist so much better for the little extras like opening and holding the door so I could get my pram in and taking order from table due to my nan having mobility issues. Thank you so much for that. On top of this your coffee is great, your food on menu was delicious and cabinet food was tasty and fresh. Really great cafe for a quick breakfast or brunch. Food is good value for money with price and portion size. Parking as usual for area was the inky downsize but it was worth the 2 circles to get a park once inside. Thanks again guys and we qill be back soon for...
