BurgerFuel Lower Hutt — Restaurant in Wellington

I came in on Friday night (11/04/2025) and unfortunately didn’t have the best start to my experience. We ordered three burgers and fries online, with a pickup time listed as 6:14 PM. It ended up being ready at 6:35 PM—which I totally understand since they were clearly busy.

The bigger issue was that when I got home, the order was completely wrong, so I had to head back to get it sorted. Mistakes happen, and that’s not really why I’m writing this review.

What stood out was how the situation was handled. When I came back and spoke to the guy at the counter—a blonde kid working the chip station—he was incredibly apologetic and genuinely kind. I asked for the food to be re-fired, and he got it done in five minutes, even though he said it might take ten. He completely turned a frustrating situation into a positive one with his attitude and how quickly he fixed things.

💥💥💥💥💥 Late dinner out and got the most beautiful customer service/burger from Kiah tonight but that was just the start.

I'm from Australia and this is my first BurgerFuel experience and wanted the best burguer but with a twist and asked for somthing off the menu.

I asked kiah to make me somthing that she would make herself as she has been working at this establishment for some time( i later found out). well didn't I get a burger to remember...

Bacon backfire but swapped the beef for chicken mod,with plum sauce and pineapple this young lady sure knew her stuff and how to make a burger this burger should be on the menu 💯 From customers service and the way she conducted the junior staff was next level. If she isn't the manager she should be thanks kiah for the best burguer I've had in a long time and definitely the best burger I've had...

Went over there some time ago for a burger. I had cash. The guy who served me took the money with gloved hands. He gave me change, wiped gloves on his hips and began to make the burger not changing gloves. I called him, but no reaction. Other person came to me and I pointed out about pour hygienic practice. She turned around, spoke to the guy and he moved behind the cabinet. I saw him standing over there, just hiding and doing nothing. Then he returned to the preparation area, wiped his gloves on his hips and began doing sandwich again. I pointed out to the girl I spoke to and she said the guy changed his gloves. But I saw he did not!!! She probably could not realised that I saw the guy from the place I was standing. Simply lied to me. To get my refund she had to call manager, who explained to me that they don't have enough gloves :-(( Pour hygiene practice and dishonesty, five negative stars...
