The serving staff are great, the coffee is adequate, but the food is pricey and of variable quality, and acoustics are dreadful, so it's not a good place for a conversation. I paid $15 for a small takeaway salad that contained croutons that were essentially cubes of salt, lightly flavoured with bread. That salad was inedible. Recently i paid around $20 for an under-seasoned 'herb and cheese' omelette that had about half a teaspoon of chopped parsley, and only parsley. Any cheese in the omelette must have been the cheapest most flavourless cheese from the wholesaler because i couldn't detect it at all. There are other equally mediocre, but cheaper,...

Some excellent lunch options from XX or Word of Mouth - a local favourite of the Government workers stuck in the Pipitea Quarter. Breakfast options are a little underwhelming unless you’re ordering to eat in, but once the kitchen churns into life you can tell this place knows how to cater.

The interior is a little cluttered, and needs a bit of a critical design-focused eye over it. But there’s room and plenty of nooks to chat with friends or colleagues. The coffee is good for non-Wellingtonians/coffee snobs, but still needs some honing to be worth the trek across town.

We had Eggs Benedict with Salmon, three egg omelette, Long black and coconut latte. Both meals and coffees were amazing 👏🏻! Very delicious. I was surprised how well a barista managed to prepare the coconut latte, milk was very smooth and creamy, sweet and nice. Perfect! And the coffee shots were timed perfectly too, they were not bitter, sour or burned. However food presentation is very plain and simple as well as the ambience of the cafe.
