Cafe 93 — Restaurant in Wellington

I'm here because another cafe very close by wanted $21.00 for an Eggs Bennie. Dreamers. And I'm glad they did or else I would have missed this. 3 large rashers of perfectly cooked streaky bacon, well-cooked poached eggs, on toasted muffins with what appeared to be a home-made hollandaise. And 2 hash browns on the side all presented professionally on a large white plate with the obligatory parsley stalk. And all for $15.50. Yeah I've had better eggs bennie's before, but not at this price. Good product, good value.

Out of the cafes in wellington this place is on the cheaper side so in these times that is welcomed. Had breakfast here before which was reasonable considering what I paid but I tried the Nasi Goreng and I would recommend not buying this. $15 is a reasonable price but the rice was like a risotto and it seemed like the chicken was frozen and was simply re-heated so as if it did not even thaw right. Found a frozen piece of carrot in the mound of rice. I had about two mouthfuls and that was it. So definitely not...

This cafe was recommended to me for breakfast. The cabinet food looked delicious, and it had a steady stream of custom, which is always a good sign. The dish descriptions on the blackboard menu on the wall were rather unclear, however, and my colleagues and I had to go back to ask where certain components of the dish were.
