Yum Yum House — Restaurant in Wellington

The place was filthy dirty. Plates came out that still had bits of food on them from previous diners, they'd not been washed properly. I looked into the kitchen as we paid and the kitchen looked like it hadn't been cleaned recently. The food was so average. The sweet and sour sauce that came with our entree tasted like it was off. There were net curtains on the wall by our table that were disgusting - they looked like they'd been white once, but are now grey and black...

The food is beautiful and staff nice, however on this occasion, Sat 10 June, something went horribly wrong; waited over an hour and we still hadn't been given our soups let alone the rest of our order. The restaurant was full, that poor young waiter, trying to take orders, phone calls and serve, well one table at least. We, along with another table, had no option but to leave. Food is very good, prices reasonable, 1970s decor, but let down by untrained staff, needs training on not to hold glasses by the rim where people place their lips. When informed the group is sharing serving spoons and small plates should be brought out without being asked. Cooks should know when they're told there is a vegetarian in the group, they shouldn't add bits of pork in a seafood...
