As a group for drinks and dinner we had some drinks before sitting for dinner, that part was OK, the new girl behind the bar was being trained but she was pleasant. The other staff had sour faces and obviously didn't want to be there. We sat for dinner, checked menus and our orders were taken. As an ex long time hospo worker of cafes and restaurants I noticed so many wrongs from the time the meals came out. There were 16 of us, and the meals started to come out with the waiter yelling out what the meal was and we had to decide who's was who's... then we saw the so called Prime ribeye meals. Right away we all noticed the state of the ribeye. Small, thin horrible cuts sat on top of just warm seasoned mash a ramekin with a few bits of broccoli, cauliflower and carrot and another small ramekin with whatever sauce we ordered. One person ordered fried eggs which came out halfway through his meal on a separate plate. The salad was basically a lettuce leaf chucked amongst the very few fries that came with one steak. Then came the non edible lamb shank tougher than grandpas boots. Waiter was called and instead of taking the plate back to the kitchen, chef tested another shank in the kitchen and deemed it 'fine' she then sat for approx 15 min before having to summon the waiter back to have her plate taken back to the kitchen. She was really hungry also. The waiter came back offering another meal of her choice to which she asked for the ribeye, and she had to eat it alone because we all had finished ours. That came out with a tiny steak and some vegetables. She took one look and said, where's the mash, to which the waiter replied you only asked for steak and vegetables...... it comes with either mash or fries! The kids meal was supposed to come with a ice cream sundae and that never came out. The food and service was absolutely rubbish. Staff need proper training starting with being attentitive to the customer needs, checking on the table and if someone says they can't eat their meal because its so tough take the plate to the kitchen immediately to be rectified don't just ignore...
Read more2nd time visiting here this time we went for a family dinner and ordered for four Sunday special and the serving girl asked what you like with the steak salad or vegetable and fries or croquet also asked what sauce you like. We ordered 4 steak 2 with vegetables also we ordered some starter and kids meal too. Drinks came first after they served starter and kids main and four steak came before even we finish our starter. When we start having the steak, it was like bubble gum you can chew it for your day and night long. When we finished mains we sit and waited to someone to come and offer dessert menu and the kids Sunday icecream. No one came to do the meal check or not even offered another drink on the table must every restaurant do check after main meal served. There was no glasses or water on the table. Even the drinks menu we took from the near table. Finally we thought will go and pay the bill and I paid the bill and i got the receipt from them when I check the bill at home they billed for 2 Sunday special and 2 normal full priced steak from the menu. I tried to call them but the phone was not answering so I just went to them back and i asked so the person was on a wheelchair came and helped me and told that the sunday special is served with only fries and salads not vegitable or croquets you can swap this for a $6 extra cost (didn't mentioned in the special menu or even in the main menu or even the service girl didn't mentioned it will cost extra ), even there was a drink offer with $5 with the special didn't even mentioned to us. He admitted that there was mistake happened the girl didn't properly explained when she took the order and he accepted that and offered me a discount on the bill. I told him that I am not here to get the discount or the money I paid extra that was for no reason. But never ever do people get cheated like this without explaining or without offering what's the deal and what are not included...

When we arrived everyone was already eating so I thought sweet, we shouldn't have any issues with prompt service. I didn't think it was over busy and having worked hospo myself I get the hustle but General waitstaff etiquette not observed, small things that matter, Like a water at the table upon being seated and a smile or at least not a frown or scowl. Plates being cleared promptly or when asking customers if they want a dessert menu and offering to top up drinks at the same time is common place. Should have had to Ask for it to happen. Things like not dumping the food and storm off frowning and speaking clearly, not murmuring off the specials so fast we couldn't hear. I guess waiting 50 minutes for food didn't help. I bit my tounge and tried to be patient. But Like the comment below there is a difference between overworked/understaff and outright bloody rude it was not friendly, I felt like I was bothering staff by trying to wave someone down for a bloody bottle of water and ended up ordering at the bar as did another table. This was the most unfriendly and uncomfortable dinner I have had in a very long time and when other tables are murmining the same thing I know it's not just me. Spent 250.00! When settling the bill, no eye contact or positive communication waitress sat the receipt on the bar and walking off before we had a chance to confirm that the bill was in order we expected a little more positive interaction.
