Worst place ever. I ordered the caesar salad with chicken, cheese and grilled vegetables. Once it arrived, it had only raw vegetables on it, including tomato and avocado. Since I’m severely allergic to both(grilled tomato is fine), I asked them about the grilled vegetables and told them about my severe allergies for these raw vegetables and asked them if they could make a fresh new one. After confirming multiple times, they said the made a new one, without any of those. But after a few bites my throat started hurting and I found some pieces of avocado still in there. When I asked them about it, they pretended they didn’t know how it got there and went to the kitchen to ask about it. Since my symptoms started to increase, we couldn’t wait any longer and I needed to go to get some medicines and I’ll need a few more days to fully recover. When we left, they still acted like they didn’t do anything wrong. There are so many other better places in Leon to eat....
Read moreI ended up at El Bodegón after a long travel day and popping into two other restaurants that just didn’t give great first impressions. I’m so glad I didn’t eat at those places but kept walking until I made it to El Bodegón. It was exactly what I needed after the day I’d had. There was a fan and plenty of breeze in the restaurant, a welcome respite from the sweltering Leon heat. The restaurant is really cute inside, and my server was great, offering suggestions on the menu but also things to do while I’m here. I ordered the mango mojito and the camarones al ajillo, which came with rice, potato wedges, sautéed veggies, and a salad. It was all DELICIOUS. The shrimp was perfect on top of the rice and the vegetables were seasoned to perfection. I’m used to crusty bread coming with garlic butter shrimp, but the wedges were tasty and fit the meal perfectly. And they took cards, which was super convenient. I’m definitely planning to make it back before...
Read moreFood is totally different from the pictures. I was expecting a fresh pulled pork quesadillas like the pictures show. What I got served was nothing like that though. The food was expensive for what you get. I ordered quesadillas and got a Small dry portion of pork in a flour tortilla with a tiny bit of mozzarella cheese. This definitely isn't worth the price of 8 dollars considering we are in Nicaragua.. Considering this place specialices in pulled pork it leaves a lot to be desired. I could honestly make5 different recipes and each one would be better than what I just ate. It.honestly wasn't very nice.. Amd for some reason they added the 10% tip which put the score from a 2 to a 1. Honestly there is far better options in Leon with much tastier food at lower prices.. Very disappointed this was a bad meal. Took 10 minutes to get...
