This was my favorite place we ate in Granada. It's on the main street but a couple blocks out of the main downtown area, towards the lake. It's a very cool space with outdoor seating. Everything is house-made. I was a little skeptical about how good a bagel would be in Nicaragua, but these were actually really good--nicely crusty on the outside but still soft enough to eat easily and great taste. They don't have vegan cream cheese, but they have hummus. But what we got (and I highly recommend) is the veggie burger (on a bagel, of course). The burger was also house-made and quite good, although it could have been browned a bit more. They had an interesting Mexican hot sauce that you could put on it, which we appreciated (we missed spicy food in Nicaragua). It also came with really good potato wedges that you can request to be cooked in olive oil, rather than butter if you're vegan. This was also one of the only places we found that was very knowledgeable about what is vegan and not. The people working there were really nice and friendly, and the food came out pretty fast. I think they speak English too, although we spoke Spanish there. One final thing--we also got iced Americanos and they brought out with them this little bottle of house-made simple syrup steeped with cinnamon sticks that you could add to your coffee. I thought that was such a nice touch and really shows what a great place this is. ...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI only wish I had visited this incredible spot on my first day! The owners are wonderfully friendly, the environment is tranquil with much appreciated greenery in a city, and the bread is the best you can only hope to find in this part of the world. They prepare sourdough, fantastic bagels, focaccia, banana bread and much more! Baked fresh every day (the chef gave me a tour of the bakery and their process) they prepare delicious sandwiches and take care in every aspect & detail of their craft. Having learnt how to bake on a farm in Switzerland, he has brought back some invaluable skills and adapted it to the Nicaraguan climate and resources. Truly the best food spot I've found in this part of the world! On offer they have salmon, BLTs, cookies, cinnamon rolls and of course delicious vegetarian & vegan...
