When I traveled around Nicaragua, people were friendly, and so were the people working in the accommodation and food service industry at tourist destinations. However, my experience at this restaurant blew that thought away. We were a couple who only understood a little Spanish and had dinner. Aside from the bugs biting us, the food and atmosphere were average. However, the bill clearly showed 2 servings of the meat dish we had initially ordered and 1 serving of the fish dish that the waiter had recommended for my wife, so we were charged twice. The problem is that the over charging was very clear on bill itself. The bill was not from the original waiter, but from a middle-aged man who seemed to be the owner. Without even an apology to me for pointing out the mistake, he called the original waiter over and gave me the revised bill and took my money. It was a very unpleasant experience. Visited a year ago and had a very positive experience, and again tonight. Another great evening.

Very attentive and expedient staff and excellent food. We had beef ribs (which we thought would be more like bigger pork ribs, like they would be at home) but we got basically 2 long tasty rib steaks, cooked to perfection with a homemade hot chili sauce and a chimichuri style sauce. Came with grilled vegetables.

Along with a few pre dinner cocktails and a bottle of Chilean red wine the price was very good and the quality above expectations.

We tried ordering 2 entrees but our server suggested the beef ribs were enough for 2 and they were.

The food was excellent, the meat cooked just right and the sauces and grilled veggies a perfect compliment. We found it to be a really good value for us compared to home, and again, the service was outstanding. The three sercers we interacted with were friendly and patient with our very limited Spanish, and incredibly helpful.

Food: we only wanted an appetizer, the tostones with steak were very odd. The steak was rough and chewy, though it was flavorful. It's also served with tomato and cucumber which is not the most compatible combination if ask me on top, watered down the tostones. I basically had to separate all the interview to eat them.

Drinks: The cocktails were kinda weak, though the drinks tasted fine. They also served me a warm seltzer.
