Today I had an incredibly unpleasant experience at Ocean basket Abuja that left me feeling frustrated and disrespected. Upon reviewing the menu at the restaurant, I noticed that the listed price for the salmon dish was different from what I was charged. The menu clearly displayed one price, but when I received the bill, it was significantly higher. This kind of inconsistency is unacceptable and misleading, as customers should be able to trust that the prices listed are accurate and fair. To make matters worse, when I brought the pricing discrepancy to the attention of the restaurant manager, they reacted in an extremely unprofessional and aggressive manner. Instead of acknowledging the mistake and resolving the issue, the manager forcefully insisted that I pay the higher amount or face consequences, and do not allow us leave unless we pay the incorrect price. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable and goes against the principles of good customer service. In conclusion, my experience at this restaurant was marred by inconsistent pricing and an appalling display of customer service. The discrepancy between the menu price and the bill, coupled with the manager's coercive tactics, left me deeply dissatisfied and frustrated. It is disappointing to encounter such unprofessionalism and lack of integrity in a dining establishment. I would strongly advise others to avoid this restaurant, as it fails to meet even the most basic standards of fair pricing and respectful...
Read moreHaving visited Ocean basket in Lagos a couple of times I would say the new ocean basket restaurant located adjacent from PEP at Jabi Lake Mall is a really cool spot. I know a lot of Abuja people aren't familiar with this restaurant but it's a unique seafood experience you will like to have. The ambience balances modern and vintage fine dining experiences. It might look like your normal Abuja restaurant but it's a little more. The music was low and soothing, loved it. The menu is completely based on seafood proponents from Prawns to calamari to fish, sushi etc. If you are a seafood foodie, this is your spot. I was a little disappointed I couldn't find some usual sides like potatoes and plantain but you have veggies and rice to accompany your sea animal. We had the seafood peppersoup starter and a seafood combo with a rice side. The food was good but the rice was more concoction than jollof. The drinks however wasn't great. The vanilla milkshake was very watery , however, the OB special I had was okay but the alcohol was nonexistent. The service was really great as the waiter was polite, would have given her a tip but Nigeria is currently cashless. The location was great, I mean everyone would love to have a business in Jabi Lake Mall.

Read moreAlthough I previously had a negative experience here, the upper management addressed the issues and staff members involved and made great strives to improve our experience the next time around.
On a following visit, thanks to one of the head managers, we enjoyed a very lovely and fresh dinner. The food was outstanding and the service was great as well. We appreciated the efforts made by the management to address and recompensate for a previous bad experience. I am glad that my former review was taken seriously and very happy with the changes they made, esp with the staff. If this branch can continue with their upwards progress, then I would highly recommend this location to anyone wanting an Asian or Greek flare in their cuisine. Special thanks to the manager from the head office for his exceptional attention to this matter AND the professionalism with which he handled the situation to ensure the best dining experience for us and...
