Woks and Koi Restaurant — Restaurant in Lagos State

Absolutely found another new fave. The food was really tasty and the service was a delight. The space was clean, staff could explain the menu and make recommendations. Had one of the best frozen strawberry daiquiris I've ever tasted in Lagos so obviously I'm going back. 2 actually, I had one to go 🙂 I was impressed that they had takeaway cups! Parking is a bit tight so we parked at Ebeano (adjacent to Woks&Koi) and walked across lol don't quote me. We started with deep fried butterfly prawns, pan fried chicken dumplings and chicken spring rolls. I score these dishes 10, 8 and 8 out of 10, accordingly. The prawns were sublime. I can't even describe how much I enjoyed it. We moved on to egg fried rice, Woks and Koi special chinese noodles, crabs in ginger and something (refer to the menu) and pork spare ribs with vegetables (hot plate). I was most impressed with the noodles. Perfectly spiced. No need for any sauces. It had prawns, calamari, beef and vegetables all perfectly sautéed and mixed with the most succulent egg noodles Lagos has to offer. 10/10. Still, I was least impressed with the pork dish. It felt like the pork was an after-thought and was dropped in the sauce at the end of the cooking. The spices didn't get into the pork. The rice and crab dishes were also well done. 8s all around....Overall the chef did a great job but there are a couple of low hanging fruits to tweak in some dishes that would take them from 8s to 10s....also wasn't happy that I ordered Duck only to be told it had just finished...so pork replaced duck and it was not a great replacement. Anyways........did I mention how great the cocktails were? Compliments to the bartender 😌 Will try the desert menu on...

It’s worth every penny spent!

Food tasted heavenly!!! Probably the best I’ve had so far in Nigeria especially considering the prices of their meal with the quality and quantity. Very filling Honestly and the prices aren’t crazy for how good they taste. I had to take some of ours away cuz we were really full. VAT is however excluded in your meal. Parking is a bit small although there’re places to park around. It’s an open hall (well lit), the smaller hall by the corner is also pretty much open so people basically see you enter and leave and you too see others enter and leave. So for my private people, might not be a good choice. 😉 Loved the fact that we got hot towels (well conditioned) to clean our hands with before the meals arrived. Also, you get your sauce sizzling ♨️ literally!!! Absolutely loved how generous they were with the seafoods, the prawns, shrimps, calamari - E CHOKE!!! 😍😍. Please don’t reduce that 😩😩😩 Both waiters who served us were well knowledgeable of the food on the menu, I really appreciated that fact. The manager/ owner of the restaurant (a lady) was also warm and welcoming with her smile - I really liked that. ordered dessert but I was too full to have that so had to cancel it, I’ll advice to go fasting 🌚 if you truly want to get to eat your 3 course meal. Didn’t really explore the drinks so I can’t say much however I didn’t like my cocktail (woks & koi tropical), wasn’t great! I think they offer pick up/delivery services as well. I should try that. spent a total of 27k for 2 heads , water inclusive! I think it’s okay 👌🏾.

Do not waste your money ordering from Woks and Koi Lagos.

Firstly, the food is massively overpriced for the quality of food they deliver.

Secondly, their delivery is never on time and they always have excuses about why it is excessively delayed (I'm talking 2 hours late delivery from Lekki to Oniru, go figure right?).

Lastly, their customer service is abhorrent. I recently ordered from them and not only was the order exactly 2 and a half hours late, I asked to be refunded for the full amount instead of accepting the order. They pleaded and said they would speak to the dispatch rider and get him to get my delivery to me. I then asked to speak to their Manager (Abhinav Sharma) about getting refunded for the ridiculously soggy spring rolls that was delivered (didn't ask to be refunded for the fried rice and shredded beef sauce I ordered because I knew I could easily reheat both in the microwave whereas doing so to the spring rolls would only make it more soggy). The Manager (Abhinav Sharma) agreed to do this and it was SOLELY on that basis that I accepted the order. Only for him to later call me to say that he would not be processing the refund after all. This was highly duplicitous and fraudulent.

If you are considering getting food here I urge you to seriously reconsider it. Your wallet and your stomach will thank you for making a better and more informed...
