Ciel Lagos is definitely one of those spots that lives up to the hype. The ambience is absolutely on point—elegant, cozy, and perfect for both casual hangouts and more intimate vibes. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed into a beautifully curated space that screams Lagos luxury without being over the top. I tried their shrimp rice with egg omelette, chicken and chips, and one of their mocktails, and I must say—it was a well-rounded culinary experience. The shrimp rice was flavourful and well-spiced, the egg omelette soft and tasty, and the chicken had that perfectly crispy skin with juicy meat inside. The chips? Crispy and golden. And their mocktail? Refreshing, balanced, and served just right. Altogether, it was a 10/10 experience. Great food, serene environment, attentive service—Ciel Lagos is worth the visit!

There are very few restaurants that care about their food portions and that’s where Ciel caught my attention. This restaurant is very spacious and is perfect for hosting large friendship groups. Despite how spacious it is, the air conditioning was top tier. The service was a ten outta ten because the waiters were well trained. They constantly made eye contact and attended to I and my friend asap. The South African dancers brought the energy too. I went on a Thursday and they served free cocktails once the clock strikes 12! My only criticism is how the savage at the entrance stinks but I guess that’s a general issue in Lagos state. Kudos to the owners and I hope they are able to instill maintenance culture for longevity sake. Oh and lastly, the glow in the dark menu is a genius idea.

Trust me the only reason why I would probably visit here again is for the ambience and good customer service, the food isn’t anything good at all, the coconut rice was more like a normal Nigerian concoction rice, the mashed potatoes wasn’t great neither was my Salmon, my lamb chops was mostly bone for a meal I paid that amount for you guys need to do better by hiring quality chefs or ask your current chefs to up their game….

The overall vibe was okay, but I wasn’t comfortable with how my personal belongings were handled. I don’t understand how a tail comb is considered a weapon. I wasn’t allowed to bring mine in, yet they provided one in the bathroom for public use. Not everyone is comfortable sharing personal items with strangers, especially in a setting like this.

Also, in this day and age, enforcing strict dress codes at a lounge/club feels outdated. People who book tables and spend money here should be trusted to dress appropriately without being micromanaged. Just something...
