During my recent lunch visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu offering a variety of breakfast options. Despite it being lunchtime, we couldn't resist trying some items from the breakfast menu, and we were not disappointed. The worst 2 hours I ever had. The cafe was almost empty (1pm Sunday).The order was: 3 Cappuccino, 1 Detox Drink, 1 strawberry smoothie, 1 nojito, 3x California eggs Benedict on top of toast (runninng). 20 min for the cappuccino‘s. 1hour later the waitress gave info that the smoothie machine was not working …. 20 minutes later 2 of the 3 portion of the egg bendedict came. Hilarious: No butter on the toast , one egg was cold. Everything was served on the plate without any love… (at this time they forgot the 3rd portion and still the drinks were not there. 10 minutes later the drinks came. 20 minutes after the first 2 portions the 3rd arrived. We left after 2 hours. Our neighbour table was a Familie with a kid. In 1:30 hours they where just get served 2 coffee, 1 hot chocolate. Luckylie the child was getting the pancakes at the end. Then they left because they were so angry.

I have been there before and it was always okay. This time it was a nightmare. There was no sorry no nothing… I can barely imagine that anyone of the customers at this day will ever go to this place again… 30k for a joke of restaurant I was expecting that some jumps out behind the bar and tells me that all was a prank but unfortunately it was...

Located in Maitama ( map accurate) Cafe de vie somewhat an artistic/ activist space you can tell from the wall graffiti and paintings. Seating areas are outdoor by the main entrance with couches, tables and tv for the street view. Crafted tables and chairs with a view of the inside for the second space & then indoor seating with several coffee tables, stack of books, great lighting, lots of graffiti quotes and tv of course. A fine space.

Wait staff was so cordial and very explicit. Commendable cuz he knows what he’s doing and makes your stay easy.

Had the plantains with chicken breast ( tender and mildly spiced ) with mimosa (champagne, orange juice, soda water) and yogurt cake (cake crumbs layered with yoghurt) also guacamole and toast with tea and water. Enjoyed every bit of our meal and time.

Ps the ladies bathroom has several wash options from scented liquid soap to bar soap and handmade soap. It’s a well thought of place with detailed interior like a...
