📍: KEJE GRILLS ABUJA @kejegrill (City park Wuse 2, opposite the Tennis court) • Honestly, honestly with all sincerity 😂 whatever the assignment is KEJE GRILLS definitely understands it because gaddamn 🤤😋 Ok let me not get carried away, there’s a process and method here so let’s dive in😂 • AMBIENCE They definitely have my heart with their aesthetics, from the comfy couch that makes you feel at home to the rattan lamps and hanging lights. I love a good outdoor space with good music and fresh air and they deliver all that and more. • SPACE Keje grills is located in City park Wuse 2 so you know that means lots of parking space and picturesque areas too. • SERVICE I’ve visited here quite a few times now and besides little delays on high influx days their service is great to say the least. I love the fact that their servers have their names boldly written on their shirts so you can easily track and identify who attended to you. • FOOD Haha 😂 now let’s get down to business 😊 their chicken is EVERYTHING damn! I’ve had different meals here but I’m always blown away by their chicken and when paired with their cocktails it’s a mouthgasm waiting to happen. Oh! Did I mention they have one of the best cocktails in the BUJ? it’s called the Crazy people cocktail😂 because IMO most of their cocktails are really fit for crazy people with high alcohol tolerance. I highly recommend the Keje Special(Signature) chicken, try it and thank me later. • ORDER Photos of their menu is attached in slides below 👇🏽

Read moreMy most recent visit to Keje Grills was so disappointing and it’s painful because I had anticipated it for quite a while.
I ordered the Ofada Rice and Sauce with the Virgin Strawberry Margarita. To start with, the sauce had like 4 chunks of protein one of which was liver (which I hate). The proteins (beef and ponmo) were tasty (I will give them that) but it would have been better if they have cut it a bit smaller so every spoon taken had some protein inside (I mean isn’t that one of the main selling points of Ofada?). Secondly, the Ofada was VERY VERY peppery. Pepper in every single thing we ordered was extremely much (haba) - my mouth was burning, I was sweating (it was like I gave myself punishment). This is legit the first time I am dining at a restaurant and sweating 😪. Mine was a bit understandable cos it’s Ofada but the Jollof rice and Noodles didn’t need to be too peppery especially when we didn’t ask extra spice. The Jollof rice looked really good but the pepper made it a bit difficult to enjoy it. The virgin strawberry margarita was nice (I could see myself ordering it again) but it didn’t taste like a margarita to me.
The customer service was even worse than the food. The waiter was very rude (rolling her eyes at practically all our questions). I was very scared of calling her sometimes cos I didn’t want to deal with that whole attitude.
On a lighter note, I loved the ambience - the good music playing in the background, the cool breeze blowing around. Also, the Special Grilled Chicken and the Asun were very very good. The chicken...

So, my first time at Keje Grill, Abuja was sometime in 2019. I remember having this fancy cocktail that came in a pineapple however the service was too slow so I didn't get anything to eat. It was also undergoing some construction/renovation so it had no strong impression on me.
Can't forward to 2021, a friend of mine who moved to Abuja asked us to meet there for a night of drinks, I was slightly sceptical but went hungry anyway, I was determined to EAT my heart out and I wasn't disappointed one bit!
I had yam fries, sweet potato fries, fried plantain with stewed chicken and peppered wings with of course the same pineapple cocktail, I was in food heaven!
It took 15 minutes for the food to arrive and the drinks 10 minutes which is impeccable timing and the MUSIC, I was dancing all through the night.
If you're looking for somewhere CASUAL, GREAT FOOD, the BEST GROOVY MUSIC for the weekend, Keje...
