Tulip Bistro — Restaurant in Wuse II

The Tulip Bistro is a nice restaurant on the top floor of the Suncity Plaza on Ademola Adetokunbo Crescent. We had to drive round Ademola Adetokunbo several times before locating the restaurant. I believe they can do a better job of adding the name of the plaza to the address on both Instagram and Google. Regardless Tulip Bistro is a very nice restaurant. I love the ambience of the place with the indoors and Outdoors. The blue and turquoise furniture with the gold accent is pretty cool. The music was solemn and the organisation is top notch. The attendants were really organised and very polite, really cool.

The food was really great. We had the Spaghetti bolognese and the oriental chicken which was really amazing and the food was ready in less than 15 minutes which was super fast. The drinks however weren't great. The strawberry Daiquiri and Mojito we had wasn't nice, the Daiquiri was perhaps the worst we've had in Abuja so far and I believe that would be the only department I think the Bistro can improve. Apart from the driving around to find the place and the drinks, the experience was actually good. I will definitely visit again.

The most delicious salad I have ever had in my life 😂

When I looked at the prices on the menu, I almost covered my face and left, but I’m glad I didn't.

It’s a beautiful space. The colours are soothing, and I’m sure the lighting is gorgeous at night. I wanted to sit at the bar, but I wouldn't have been able to eat properly there.

I ordered the beetroot and lentil salad, Shepherd’s pie and the Tulip House Cocktail.

The salad was so delicious. I don't even know how to explain it, mhen. I’ve eaten a lot of salads in my time, but none sparked joy like this one. I will be thinking about it for a long time.

The Shepherd’s pie was okay. I liked the texture of the potato, but I think the cheese was too strong or didn't cook properly. It made the pie a little difficult to eat. Thank God they served it with a side of chilli.

The cocktail was perfect. When the waiter served it, I thought it was a little underwhelming for a “House cocktail” bit when I took the first sip 😵‍💫 definitely worth it.

It was a lovely solo brunch. I felt very satisfied, in general. I’ll save up money so I can visit and try...

I visited the upgraded/new Tulips Bistro Restaurant and I have a few things to say.

I got the Arayis kafta and my colleague got the Chicken Louisiana. I didn't find my order interesting at all. The Flat Bread and spices stole all the shine and everything else was benign. I expected something better. I have no words for the Louisiana my friend ordered because it was so pricey you'd expect to taste an amazing pasta but NO WAY was it amazing. It was bleeeeh !! I generally don't find the ambience interesting, but it was beautiful and classic. Just wasn't interesting. The outer space was not it for me at all; maybe it's the choice of furniture and color of the space that's OFF but then it was OFF.

NOTE: we noticed something. " Everyone couldn't finish their meal and had plenty left overs";.
