skopje what an evening! this restaurant was recommended by our taxi driver straight from the skopje airport for good traditional north macedonian food. Good is an understatement. The Food was otherworldly (never had such good champignons) schopska was amazing and the schaschlik topped it all off. I underestimated the portion sizes by far!

The best thing however was how good the restaurant staff welcomed us as foreigners. I had the impression that we were the only tourists but I felt welcomed from the very first second. We got good recommendations on what to order and what not - more importsnt than I thought at first The vibes were good from beginning to end, live music had people of all ages singing and dancing together and overall made for a great atmosphere

You can smoke in the smoke room and go back to your food in the non smoking area without problems, the waiter even brought us more wine from our table to the smoke section without us asking, never had such good service.

We stayed for three hours, spent 46€ and left a 20€ tip

I recently visited Restaurant "Baba Cana" in Skopje, Macedonia and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant is located in a charming area with a nice outdoor seating area. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with warm lighting and rustic decor.

Beautiful traditional restaurant perched up on the hill overlooking Skopje.

Recommended by our local friend, we were really looking forward to catching up and enjoying traditional food.

The outdoor dining space in the garden was a true oasis, with the added bonus of air-conditioning to keep you comfortable.

Recommend to book, as this is a popular restaurant for private functions and amongst the locals.

We were fortunate to be dining during a birthday and were entertained by a four-piece band, which truly made the atmosphere magical.

We started out with a mixed platter and Shopska salad and ordered our slow-cooked mixed grill, which was going to take 50 minutes which was perfect. Unfortunately, 90 minutes later we were still waiting on this delicious dish and checked in with our new waiter (shifts had changed), and the order was forgotten.

We were very disappointed after ordering a special bottle of wine, to then find out our food was not going to arrive. After a 90 minute wait, we decided to skip the meal and headed to our favourite Mosh Bar to satisfy...
