Amigos - Železnička — Restaurant in Municipality of Centar

I was excited to visit and ended up disappointed 😔 Amigos has been my favorite restaurant since the early days in Macedonia Street. The revamping they introduced with the Ljubljanska location, I have enjoyed surprisingly even more. I’ve always chosen Amigos for any celebration: birthday, anniversary and other special occasions. Both places have amazing atmosphere, great food & cocktails, and even greater service.

Unfortunately, the Zheleznichka experience has been very different and quite frankly, disappointing.

The place looked amazing and the atmosphere was great. But the first issues was the menu… there was almost no Mexican food to choose from… we ended up ordering pretty generic starters that you would find in other, more “basic”, restaurants - they tasted OK. We tried 3 kinds of cocktails and the quality differed immensely from the two other Amigos… for example, one of the sour type of cocktails was too sweet. Even though there were just 4 seated tables on our floor, the waiters took forever to come, pick up the dishes and ordering was a hassle.

We ended up partially finishing our drinks and changed location for our dinner.

I hope you will take this into consideration and try to improve this restaurant to keep up with the legacy of Amigos...

Mixed, non-sustainable experience at this well-known restaurant 🍽️

It wasn’t my first visit here the first time I just had a coffee ☕ the second time I was completely ignored for a long time and the waiter was honestly very rude 😕 but the third visit was much better the staff was kind and attentive 🤝🏻

We ordered food and while it tasted really good 🍔🧀 there was a piece of plastic left with the cheese which was clearly forgotten by the chef... luckily we noticed it before eating and the waiter offered to replace the burger which was a nice gesture 🙏🏻 still we carefully checked the second one just to be sure!

The prices here are way too high 💸 and it feels like most of their popularity is driven by social media hype 📱 more than real quality the experience doesn’t really match the image they project online...

The best thing about the place is the interior 🎨 the colors are fun and the architecture is thoughtfully done but in the end I’d probably only return for a quick coffee and not more than that☕️

Unfortunately I don’t see myself...

On the bright side, pistachio lava cake was fantastic-rich and deliciously delightful with plenty of pistachios spread beautifully across the plate. The pancakes with cherry marmalade and butter were also excellent, soft and delectable.

The interior is nicely done, with colorful decor, a clean layout and good vibe both inside and outside.

However the service was major letdown. The staff barely interacted, stood around like statues and it took too long to get their attention, when they finally arrived, they were unfriendly. it’s worth noting that the poor service seems to come from individual staff behavior, not the fault of owner or management.

The menu was incomplete missing deserts and the selection of Mexican dishes is very limited compared to others. The prices are high compared to other places, where you can find similar quality dishes...
