This seems to be a kind of "in" place for a certain segment of "upper crust" of Skopje. It was comical to watch the manager (owner?), up to then aloof, tripping over himself serving a table full of people in tracksuits exiting Cayenes and Panameras.
My star ratings reflect the prices, too - places in that price category are held to higher standards.
My allegedly briefly dry aged tenderloin steak was of unequal thickness, so a part was medium rare, as I asked, while the other was barely pink in the middle. Anyway, it was decent, and accompanying it with minced roasted peppers (a local touch) worked, but a smear of pesto genovese most certainly didn't.
Lemon tart was good, as was espresso. Red wine I had a glass of was nothing to write home about, but then, I knew what to expect. I didn't expect it to be too warm, though.
Waiting staff was cordial, but took ages to notice that I finished a course and remove the plate and inquire on my further wishes.
The ambient was more that of a cafe than a high-end restaurant - quite pleasant, but, again, not suiting their...
Read moreI came here for lunch, but didn't leave until dinner time. We ordered Macedonian Salad, Mushroom starter, Risotto Primavera, and Spaghetti Carbonara. The salad and mushrooms were good. The risotto was overcooked, bland, and generally unappealing. The carbonara was ok. The waitress was so slow and didn't ask if we wanted parmesan cheese with the dishes. The fully tattooed waitress didn't wear her mask properly, only covering her mouth, not her nose. Also, important to note, this is the only place in Skopje that didn't ask us for proof of vaccination, which was a bit concerning. It took about 3 hours, for a meal that literally takes 10 minutes to cook. They should be ashamed of themselves. I don't know how they have any customers. There are much better places to go and spend your money than this disaster.
At the end, we had to go get dinner somewhere else. What a terrible dining experience.

Its a nice place with good food. I liked the chicken curry dish that I ordered. It was a big portion and it was prepared on unusual specific way. It wasn't just a traditional chicken curry dish that you can eat everywhere in the city. I liked the effort that was put into that dish. The chicken was soft, tasty and amazingly prepared. I have no bad words according to the food preparations. The chef definitely did a great job.
But, a big downside of this place is the lack of the atmosphere. The place looks a bit soulless for my taste. Even when its full, I always feel like something is missing. The atmosphere is just "forced"....
The tables are also very tall and the chairs are small in height, so I had a feeling that I'm eating straight from a "hole". I had to lift my arms so I can eat properly. I'm 187cm tall and I had problems with that. It was so annoying. Please do...
