Heyyy guys!
I've visited this place and the experience was outstanding! The food served in no time, the bread baked at the place (which means warm and crisp as you love it 😋), chicken shawarma was super tender, juicy, delicious, and big portion. I had to try Falafel too, which was delicious as expected. The Arabian sweets were toothsome, in particular Baklava (بقلاوة), as it was full of Alebo pistachio and less sugar in order to double hit the pleasure 🤤.
It's a family business, which means the staff are super friendly, helpful, and welcoming, as if you're visiting them at home 🏡 I would love to special thank Mr. Mahmoud ( who's happen to be Mechanical Engineer, who applied engineering degree at his work place 👷⚙️), for his time in talking to us, making us feeling home, and for his generosity, where he also tried to offer us another treat byond the menu. It was, again, outstanding to see those businesses still out there, close to our hands, to reach and try.
*Highly recommended, and if you get a chance, have a word with Mr. Mahmoud, as it worthy to check out his experience in life and business...
Read moreI had the "Classic Chicken Shawarma Menu". The chips were excellent and I think probably the best chips I've ever had in Bergen. 10/10 would recommend for chips alone. There are a lot of places that do fries but these were chips; thick cut, maybe could be described as steak cut, and we're crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Not your typical takeaway fries. I think the chicken was cooked perfectly, the flat bread was really good and seemed authentic (some places just use cheap tortilla wraps, so I was really happy to see a flat bread). The Shawarma was well wrapped. I thought that the sauce could have used more spice and it was a little too creamy, but overall thought it was really good. I will definitely be coming here again to try out the rest...
Read moreWe arrived about 8 on a Wednesday night. The food was quickly prepared. We walked it back to the moxy Bergen and it was hot and fresh when we arrived. We are still in price shock for Norway. We split a gyro and fries (me and my preteen) and were filled up. The menu in the store is not in English so we had to look up a few words. My son and I aren’t sure if we like parsley, for example, in the gyros. An extra side of tzakiki sauce would be a nice option to offer. We received two packs of ketchup with the fries.
Update: we returned and received only one pack of ketchup and the chili mayo I paid for was not in the bag 🥲they were also out of an item I ordered so I removed two stars because we expected the same meal...
