We had a fantastic dinner at this Turkish gem in Lillehammer and couldn’t be more impressed. The hospitality was genuine and heartfelt — the kind that stays with you.
To start, the staff surprised us with a complimentary Turkish spread, filled with flavorful dips and fresh bread. It was a thoughtful gesture that immediately made us feel welcome and set the tone for a great evening.
For mains, we enjoyed the Mix Grill, which was a true highlight — tender marinated chicken, juicy ribeye steak on a skewer, and a perfectly cooked lamb chop, all served with grilled tomato and fluffy bulgur. Every bite was rich with flavor.
The Doner Kebab Plate was just as satisfying. The doner meat was full of depth and spice, paired perfectly with crisp salad, fries, and a delicious mix of chili and garlic dressing.
We ended the meal with a crème brûlée that was smooth, creamy, and topped with a perfectly caramelized crust — a delightful surprise at a Turkish restaurant.
Overall, this was one of our most memorable meals in Norway. Exceptional food, heartfelt service, and a warm atmosphere — highly recommended if you’re in Lillehammer and looking for something...
Read more⭐ 2/5 – Disappointing Turkish meal, not worth the price We had lunch here because they offer halal food and were told the chef is from Turkey. We ordered shish kebab, mixed grill, and spaghetti bolognese. They served garlic bread first, which was fresh and very good, unfortunately, that was the highlight of the meal. The rest of the food was a big letdown. Everything was served cold. The bulgur was lifeless, the grilled corn was clearly frozen and not even grilled properly, and the meat was tough and chewy. The “salad” was just a few leaves, with no pickles or grilled chilies that you normally expect in authentic Turkish food. We paid 1,100 NOK, which is far from worth it for the quality received. I would honestly suggest trying their pizza or bread instead. I saw them making it fresh in the kitchen and it looked much better. For Turkish food, however, this is a no. It wouldn’t have been so disappointing if the food had actually been cooked and served fresh, despite the server assuring us it was. The service itself was good, but sadly, the food did not live up to...

We had an absolutely unforgettable experience at Lillehammer Restaurant and Bar — hands down one of the best Turkish restaurants we’ve ever been to! The food was outstanding, packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. The dessert? Simply amazing — the perfect sweet ending to a perfect meal.
What truly made the night special was the incredible hospitality. The owner welcomed us like family, offering us a delicious spread on the house, clearly showing how much they care about their guests. Despite arriving last minute, they kept the restaurant open just for us, and we never once felt rushed.
The atmosphere was friendly, warm, and full of heart. You can tell this place is run with love and pride.
