I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mirchi Indian Kitchen in Oslo, an Indian restaurant that delivered a truly fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, the welcoming staff and the fragrant aroma of spices set the stage for what turned out to be an exceptional meal.
The menu boasted a variety of dishes, catering to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian palates. I started with the vegetable samosas, which were perfectly crisp. For the main course, I opted for the chilli chicken, which was a symphony of flavors. The chicken was tender, and the sauce was rich and creamy, with just the right amount of spice. The garlic naan was the perfect accompaniment, soft and buttery with a hint of smokiness.
What truly elevated the experience at Mirchi was the excellent service. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, providing insightful recommendations and ensuring that our glasses were never empty. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. This was myb2nd visit and they remembered us from the previous visit.
They do a lovely pickle chilli with their popadoms which is also available in the chilli pickle and chutney side dish, I highly recommend this.
Overall, Mirchi excels in both culinary execution and customer service. It’s a place where the vibrancy of Indian cuisine is celebrated, and where guests are treated with genuine care. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for thoroughly enjoyable Indian...
Read moreSo totally not recommended! I came there with Trollheads Nessi. Wearing her "Working Dog"- vest. Placed her outside, and went inside. I have been there before. Great food, snotty management. The restaurant manager lied to my face! I asked if it was okay for Nessi and me to sit in the outdoors dining area. His response? "That is against the law". I informed him that that was factually wrong. He insisted it was so, writing on his phone. Perhaps he thought I was deaf? Hm. I was wearing a BOSE headset. Deaf people usually don't. But some mute monks do. If you are a dog lover - please help me sharing...
Read moreI’ve been searching for ‘British’ style curries for years in Norway, this is about as good as it gets. Ordered to take away, was tempted to go with Madras hot, but normal ‘hot’ was OK. Ordered a side dish (Great Chicken Pakora) but really didn’t need it as the portions were big enough with a naan too. A few rice options (Keema rice ?) would be great if possible (Dishes come with rice, that’s not clear) 5 stars as it’s the happiest I’ve been with a curry in Norway...
