We had a fantastic lunch at Fiskekroken in Narvik. The restaurant features an on-site fish market, ensuring that all seafood is exceptionally fresh. ​ We ordered the Røkt Torsk (smoked cod with bacon), the Grillet Boknafisk, the Mussel Casserole, the Shrimp Plate, and the Crispy Skin Arctic Char. Everything was absolutely delicious! While the shrimp and mussels were smaller than those typically found in Spain, they were accompanied by a delicious sauce that complemented them perfectly. The fish dishes were cooked to perfection, each paired with sauces that enhanced their flavors beautifully.​

We tried three dishes in the menu: boknafish, pan fried halibut, whale burger. The Whale burger was supposedly meant to be a “small dish”. However, it was a normal portion size - except it comes without fries which have to be purchased separately. We haven’t been told by the waiter that the pan fried halibut contains fish bones. The individual ingredients in the dishes tasted good but were mildly flavoured. When added all together, they made the dish bland. The portion sizes of the main courses were disappointing and should be switched with the small dishes. I would recommend coming here to try the seafood. Really tasty food but we had very bad service. We were turned away at first despite it being nearly an hour until close. Then they sat other people after us. This would have been okay but the tone was dismissive and borderline rude. We had a similarity negative experience at the end of the meal. Despite the good food everyone in our group of four left feeling quite angry, which was made worse by the fact that it was supposed to be a celebratory birthday dinner! Maybe the staff was stressed, but even still I would hope for a better experience...
