📍Klosterkroa cafe is truly a gem and easily one of the best vintage cafes I’ve ever visited. The moment you walk in, you are welcomed by a spacious, open interior filled with charming vintage touches that make you feel cozy and at home✨🌸.
What really sets Klosterkroa apart is its calming and relaxing atmosphere, surrounded by beautiful nature that feels truly healing for the soul, it’s the perfect getaway from the busyness of daily life💕.
The people working here are exceptionally kind and always greet you with genuine smiles💕. I especially loved meeting the owners; their passion for the café shines through in everything they do, from the carefully curated décor to the personal, warm conversations they share with guests. It’s clear they put their heart into making Klosterkroa a special place🌸✨.
Whether you’re looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy your coffee, somewhere to catch up with friends, or a place to simply be inspired by nature and good company, Klosterkroa delivers.
Every visit leaves you feeling refreshed, valued, and just a bit happier. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates good vibes, great service, and a truly unique café...

The food was absolutely delicious, the service was very friendly, and the space (and outdoor patio) was really cool. I see they have new management and have recently been renovated so that makes more sense! Definitely worth a trip on the ferry (8 mins from Aker Brygge) to Hovedøya. It was about a 6 minute walk from the ferry and close to some ruins and a small beach. Everything we ordered was the perfect portion (not too big!) and made from high quality ingredients. The food was well seasoned and the flavors were stronger than a lot of places we’ve eaten in Norway which we appreciated. Also the prices weren’t too high, especially for being the only café open to the public on the island.
We would definitely return and highly...

On the day we went, three people in our group ordered burrata. But there was only one portion left available. The Caesar salad was big and tasty. The prawns in a bowl are literally that. Big shell on prawns. A big pile of them. There was not very much that is child-friendly on the menu-except for the sausage in a wrap or the waffle. The only sandwich is the skägen sandwich. I would suggest that they should provide a couple more sandwiches in addition...
