A hidden gem. You would never know it was here if you didn't look it up. It's inside the cruise port, right down the end, hidden on what looks like an industrial estate with a load of shipping containers. Go inside, and you're welcomed by a very eclectic selection of eateries, including Greek, Burmese, Guatemalan, Syrian, Chinese and Filipino among others, plus a bar for drinks. You scan a QR code and then you can do one order, combining dishes from every eatery, plus bar drinks. Then pay one amount for the whole order. When your order is ready, you get an SMS and you just go collect it and enjoy! Not particularly expensive by Norwegian standards. E.g. a big plate of greek souvlaki with pita, fries, salad and Tsatsiki was 269 NOK or about 20 GBP. The only down side is, as a foreigner, I would've liked some Norwegian...

Relax and nice place, food is a nice version of street-food, relatively tasty. Problem: using the excuse of coronavirus as simplification of their job, it is not possible to order food directly, nor pay by card nor cash, but you are forced to pay via an online platform that is quite bugged and instead of enjoying a nice evening with your friends you waste 5 mins to order each time. Even better (worse!!), you can not pay with non-norwegian bank cards on this platform, and you do not get notified if your food is ready with a non-norwegian phone number. Bref, tourists not welcome. I felt it very disrespectful to the client to create such problems just to save some cents on the bank transactions maybe. Please go back to a...

Visited Vippa recently and found it to be a bit underwhelming compared to the hype. I was hoping for a more diverse “world kitchen” experience (e.g., Turkish or other international options), but the food selection was rather limited, especially in terms of meat and chicken dishes.

Paying in euros was an issue, as it seemed complicated and not very straightforward. The location is also not very central, which made me wonder why it’s so highly recommended.

Another downside was the cleanliness of the WC—it definitely needed more attention.

On the positive side, the view is lovely (if you manage to get a good spot), but overall, I left feeling that Vippa didn’t live up to...

Nice little food court a bit of a walk from the city center. The food we had was very tasty. I highly recommend the Glazed Gochujang Burger and the Shawarma sandwich. You can sit inside if you want to stay warm but on sunny days nothing beats sitting outside with a beer, enjoying the scenery. This place has a beautiful view of the fjord. The one thing I didn't like was that the QR code you have to scan to place an order doesn't take you straight to the menu. First you have to choose city, then the venue, and then you get to the menu. There's a lot of scrolling involved and it's not very user friendly.
