China House - Bonny's Kjøkken AS — Restaurant in Rauma

I regret to pen such a review, but I feel compelled to share my experience at this Hainan House in the hope of sparing others the disappointment. What was billed as an 'Chinese dining experience' was, unfortunately, far from it.

The meals lacked flavors, leaving us questioning the chef's understanding and experience with this intricate culinary tradition.

Furthermore, the customer service was well below par. Instead of the warm, welcoming atmosphere one would expect, we were met with indifference and lackluster attention. It was a stark contrast to the traditional Chinese hospitality that values warmth and meticulous service.

In terms of pricing, the quality of the food and service does not justify the cost - even at half the price, it would be questionable. In an industry where value for money and customer satisfaction are paramount, this restaurant falls woefully short.

In summary, if you are seeking an real Chinese culinary journey, I would advise steering clear of it. There are undoubtedly better options out there that will deliver a gratifying experience in terms of both taste...

Hainan House restaurant uses the same location and building with the previous China House restaurant. We had our dinner yesterday (2 adults and 2 kids). Various selections of menus. Our kids were satisfied with their fried chicken from kids menu while we took the 2 persons package (springrolls for starter, 2 main course: beef and chicken and bananan fried with ice cream for dessert). Good food, clean restaurant, and friendly staff (probably it will be a good idea to ask the waitress to repeat your order before she/he takes the order to the kitchen). Came here for a late lunch. We ordered spring roll and chicken stick for starters, beef chop suey and curry chicken for main dishes. The starters were smaller than we expected: only one spring roll and 3 small chicken sticks. Spring roll tasted mainly of minced meat and chicken stick was somehow slimy, it tasted good though. Main dishes were in one word: horrible. Chicken curry reminded me of terrible school lunch "kanaviillokki" in Finnish. Tastless, slimy and frozen vegetables. Over priced too!...
