This is not your average oriental food place, that you can find almost anywhere in Norway. In this case, the food is really good, I believe the owners are Lebanese. I had a chicken Shawarma roll, the meat tasted as a grilled chicken is supposed to taste. Nice and crisp with juicy middle part with that smoky flavour. Delicious, and the lantil soup was creamy and rich with flavour. Where the food excels at, the restaurant ambient falls a bit flat. I know, it is literally a kebab joint, but it should look more appealing for customers, rather than having a sensation you are sitting in a college campus restaurant. And food preparation time justifies the quality, I waited around half an hour for my meal to be prepared. The end result was a quality meal with that uniqueness that is so hard to find these days. We were lucky to eat at this restaurant last year when we were staying in Tønsberg, while attending a music festival in Horten. This year we went to Tønsberg just to eat here twice, and I'm almost glad it's only once a year we come for this festival, or else I would have doubled in size pretty fast. You make me happy dance...
Read moreWow, just wow! Ordered mixed grill. It had moist chicken, nice pieces of beef tenderloin and a nice scewer with lamb. One of the best hummus I've ever had. Garlic yogurt. French fries and filled pancakes I have when in Turkey. Did I mention the salad with fresh parley and fresh lemon. Oh, it also had grilled tomato and onion.
What a genuine meal! I felt like I was on holidays in Greek/Turkey....
