Peppes Pizza - Tønsberg — Restaurant in Tønsberg

Compared to Sandefjord Peppes pizza.

Waitresses were straight up rude. I planned to order with the remaining balance from my gift card. Walking in I proceeded to ask them if they could check the remaining balance (the webside says that this is the correct procedure and I’ve done it the other times too). Here the waitress told me that she has to know my order to do so then asked multiple times am I going to eat here, take out or not eat at all. After my about third time saying that I wish to eat here and me asking for the menu, whilst the waitress complaining that she doesn’t have time for this, she gave me a seat and I got a menu.

Whilst eating the waitress came and blew out the candless from the tables next to me. (The place is sort of divided into smaller rooms inside, and is old with bad aircon). So I had to smell in the blown out candle dust and scent… and enjoy my meal??

Either way whilst checking out, I showed my student discount that gives -20% off orders and the waitress told me that the remaining balance after the discount was ”too low”. I didn’t know that discounts given to the whole order have...

I think the last time I went to a Peppes was almost 10 years ago. I wanted to try it again. And to be honest, I was a bit disappointed. The pizzas are still good, they are also tasty, but they are about the unhealthiest thing, at least the way it is being made at Peppes, you can hammer down. Still, if you love fat and juicy Chicago style pizzas, this is the place to be. The furniture was totally run down. Really? Do you think...

The best thing about this place was the wonderful attitude of the staff who seemed to do their very best despite the restaurant apparently being understaffed. The food was somewhat disappointing.
