Amraj Authentic Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in Ullensaker

My wife and I have had a longtime wish to visit this restaurant after hearing a lot about it, and being lovers of Asian food we were not disappointed! We had a rare opportunity to have a date night one weekend and didn’t think twice.

There is ample public parking (free over certain periods) and easy access for wheelchair users. The premises are clean and the authentic Asian decor coupled with traditional Indian music unobtrusively piped over their stereo system creates a relaxing atmosphere. We ordered a starter and several dishes off their impressive menu, including mango lassi and chai tea. We were impressed with the beautiful handcrafted tableware but stopped short of inspecting the underside for country of origin 😂

My wife spent a couple years living in India in her childhood and loves Indian tea which they serve here! As we got up to pay, we met the owner and had a lovely chat for half an hour about similar growing up experiences and life as expats in Europe

September 2025 Hidden gem in Jessheim near oslo Airport I had an incredible experience at Amraj Authentic Indian Cuisine from the moment we walked in , we greeted with the warm smiles and welcoming atomsphere.the interior was perfect balance between modren elegance and traditional Indian charm. the food was absolutely phenomnal. Every dish bursting with flavor,clearly made by fresh ingredients and authentic Indian spices. The butter chicken was rich and creamy with perfect heat. The lamb biryani was perfectly cooked aromatic and generous in perfect portion and Garlic naan was soft, fluffy and addictive! what really stood out was the service. the staff was really attentive,knowledge able nd happy to offer recommendation based on our preference. whether you are familier with Indian cuisine or trying it first time ,this place delivers an unforgettable dinning expereince. Not as expected definitely not visiting again. Disappointed 😢. Restaurant only had 3 table and service was poor. One table on our back, just left without ordering it as no one came to take order. Waiter gave us papad in plate 4 piece and didn't gave us plates to eat. Feels like eating on a roadside holding all papad in hand.. Ordered 3 dish came back with wrong Lam dish. Complain 3 times before he bring the right one. Had a special day but ruined it by visiting Amraj authentic indian cuisine didn't feel like welcome. Lam is not fresh must be few days old frozen. As you can see in pictures. Have a good waiter who can serve, forgot to give plates later cutlery. Oderder 13 Nan 12 was cold or as it was made before we came to restaurant. One last one was fresh. I wish you good luck with your restaurant but we nor driving again 30km from Oslo to eat...
