Fort Cafe — Restaurant in Muscat

Terrible experience overall. If I could give zero stars I would. It took an hour to serve three drinks and a pre-made cake straight from the fridge. On top of that, my order was wrong twice. I clearly asked for a chocolate and caramel frappuccino without coffee but received one with coffee instead. When I brought it to the barista’s attention, he said they will make me a new one. After waiting 10 minutes, I had to follow up, only to discover the barista had left without informing anyone. Then, I was served two separate frappuccinos—one chocolate and one caramel—instead of the chocolate caramel one I ordered, causing me to wait another 10 minutes for the correct drink.

I was also disappointed by the mishandling of the Omani Women’s Day promotion. I came all the way to Mutrah expecting flowers to be given with each drink, as advertised on their Instagram, and the offer was to supposed last until the next day. However, by the time I ordered, they had already run out of flowers! A few minutes later, more flowers were brought in, but when I asked if they could include at least one for me and my friends, they refused, saying it would be based on whichever order was ready first. The place is located inside the fort. It has simple design, after visiting the fort you can chill there and have a cold drink, my drink of choices was matcha with frankincense and for dessert the date cake.
