Shawarma Doose — Restaurant in Muscat

I recently visited Shawarma Dose restaurant after checking the Google reviews, which seemed promising. Upon arrival, I noticed that the restaurant has a good seating capacity inside, complemented by a limited number of outdoor seating arrangements. The place was very busy when I visited, which seemed to confirm its popularity.

However, my experience was mixed. Despite the promising reviews, I had to wait almost 20 minutes to get my order, which felt quite long given the fast-food nature of shawarmas. When my order finally arrived, I was rather disappointed. The shawarma was not as good as I had hoped. The fillings were comparatively sparse, even in the larger shawarmas, and the overall taste was just okay. It lacked the flavorful punch that I expect from a good shawarma.

Additionally, the prices were higher than the usual rates for shawarmas, which added to my disappointment. Considering the average taste and the smaller fillings, the higher cost didn't seem justified.

Overall, my experience at Shawarma Dose was underwhelming. Despite the good seating capacity and the positive Google reviews, the long wait time, mediocre taste, and higher prices left much to be desired. Superb food and quick service Thats you'll get there !! We have tried a few shawarma sandwiches before we finally decided to sit there. We ordered a mixed grill (mushakkal) for two. The platter was full of items, beef kebab, chicken kebab, beef tikka, chicken tikka, arais (Bread stuffed with mince), mutabbal, hammus and grilled vegitables (onion, tomatoes and capsicum) The taste was too good and the meat was free of any foul smell of the fat 3.200 Rials plus drinks Note: The above review was written during pre corona days. Post Corona Shawarma Dose has, unfortunately compromised some 20 to 30 percent on quality as well...

Excellent & friendly service here at Shawarma Dose. Very helpful, hospitable & accommodating. The zaatar manakeesh served to me was right from the oven, the freshest & hottest state. The shawarma I got has a good unique saj bread. Their vegetables here are pickled & I’m not into sour taste so I wouldn’t say they’re the best shawarma in my book. I got excess food & I was only asking for a plastic bag but they packed it properly in a styro box before putting in bag. Very surprising that I only paid below 2 rials!
