Turkish Mediterranean Restaurant — Restaurant in Muscat

This was a huge disappointment. My husband and I love Turkish food and we have tried most of the Turkish restaurants in Oman, as well as some in UAE, Jordan, and of course Turkey. But honestly this was a great disappointment, the food had nothing to with Turkish cuisine, it was mostly Egyptian food. The service was horrible. It took them a long time to serve the food and the waiter was handling the plates and just passing stuff to me in stead of putting things on the table and serving. As a waiter should. The tea was served after we finished our meal. The honey was too thick and full of sugar, and the kaymak wasn’t real kaymak, it was the ordinary cream that we buy from the supermarket. There wasn’t a variety of cheeses, and whatever they served was either processed or Egyptian and not Turkish. The waiter didn’t ask us about what type of eggs we wanted, he just brought us what he had. My husband and I worked before as secret shoppers and if we were working and visited this restaurant, it would be in big trouble since both the service and food are not up to scratch and not recommended at all. I recently dined at Turkish Mediterranean restaurant and it was a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and made us feel right at home. The ambiance was perfect, both cozy and elegant.

The menu offered a great variety, and every dish we tried was delicious. The dips plater stood out with its perfect blend of flavours. For the main course.

Dessert was a highlight with the Baklava which was absolutely divine. The service throughout the meal was outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Very disappointing experience. We ordered Tajeen Meat and Tajeen Squid, both were poorly cooked.

The meat was tough, undercooked, and had an unpleasant hint of blood. It was even hard to cut. The tomato sauce was bland and unprofessionally prepared.

The squid was no better, undercooked, rubbery, and difficult to cut, with the same poorly made sauce.

Even while waiting, they didn’t serve anything, not even water. How are we supposed to wait 20 minutes with nothing at the table?
