Average Food & Unresponsive/Rude Waiter
I went to Del Frio Sindhi Muslim on the Saturday night of 12th October 2024. It was supposed to be my birthday treat from me to my mother & sister. So it was a special day and I chose Del Frio.
The ambience was a bit noisy but understood as it was a Saturday Night and the restaurant was full. We ordered Fettucini Alfredo š, Chicken Manchurian Bowl š, and a Chicken Steak with the sideline of Rice š.
The waiter served our order and I was a bit shocked by the quantity of Fettucini Alfredo whose quantity was so basic and less for the price it cost. The taste was also average and nothing extraordinary. Last week, I had at opposite premium restaurant, it was so fair quantity with a side of garlic bread and good taste.
The Chicken Manchurian bowl ordered by mum had thick cut vegetables which were difficult to consume and made the dinner experience unpleasant for her. The chicken steak was good until the final bites, were burnt, and caused bitterness all over my sister's taste buds. The rice served on the side was also dry to consume.
Now at any other premium restaurants, when the food is not up to the mark, the waiter listens patiently to your feedback & apologises while ensuring better service next time. We were not seeking any refund or free meal though. But, the waiter at Del Frio, rudely ignored our feedback when I was telling him about the food. I was talking to him, and he didn't even pay attention, rather just started picking up plates and went away without listening and addressing the issue. He didn't even come to us to ask about food after serving which normally waiters at high end restaurants do.
The food didn't ruin the birthday dinner as much as the waiter's behaviour did. This is the service level of high-end restaurants like Del Frio. My family and I are frequent customers of other premium restaurants in the same vicinity and we often eat food like we ordered that day but rarely do we see this type of behaviour, service, and food.
I hope Del Frio should teach their waiters some basics of customer service to their servers. I have high respect for professions like Waiters, attendants but if someone has that arrogant attitude, whether they are president or a waiter, it should be adjusted.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur recent dining experience at Delfrio PECHS in Karachi was quite enjoyable, though there are a few aspects worth noting. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a cozy, intimate feel. However, it's important to mention that there was ongoing construction work to extend the dining space, which somewhat affected the overall atmosphere. Despite this, the setting remained pleasant.
The service was good, with friendly staff who were attentive to our needs. However, there's room for improvement in terms of efficiency and promptness.
Our visit was undoubtedly the food. The dishes were absolutely delicious, with generous portions and rich flavors. The Signatures Chicken Steaks, in particular, stood out as a culinary delight, cooked to perfection with just the right balance of seasoning and tenderness.
Overall, I would recommend Delfrio to anyone seeking a quality dining experience in Karachi. The prices are reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food and service offered. While there are areas for improvement, particularly with service and ambiance during the construction phase, the delicious food more than makes up for it. Iām looking forward to returning and exploring more of their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf anyone's planning to visit del frio sindhi muslim, pls save yourself the embarrassment and kindly go to some place else. I went there for breakfast with friends. Ordered the breakfast dish 'SHAKSHUKA'. A north african dish with tomatoes and poached eggs. I was disappointed to the level which is hard to describe in words. They are charging a handsome amount of Pkr 850/900 for this specific dish. And in return what i was served looked more like a leftover from a couple of days, microwaved so it becomes edible. This is a dish in which the star item is the poached egg. But what i got, the egg wasnt poached and they didnt even bother to cook a fresh egg over the base as it looked and tasted more like microwaved rubber. The garlic bread that came along was more of a garlic toast/rusk, literally hard as a rock. When i tried to politely explain the matter to the server and then possibly the manager, the response i got was that this is our standard recipe. Not even tried to understand/acknowledge the blunder. Save yourself the disappointment as i bet u can get a better sunny side up egg thats freshly cooked at a roadside breakfast place at a fraction...
