Esquires Coffee – Dolmen Mall Review 🍔☕
Dropped by Esquires Coffee at Dolmen Mall Clifton and walked away pleasantly surprised. Known more for its coffee, we decided to explore the food menu—and it did not disappoint.
We tried the Beef Burger, which came with a side of fries. The patty was juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly—definitely a step above your average mall burger. Next up was the Beef Cuban Sandwich, and again, it delivered big time. Packed with flavor, it was grilled just right and had a great balance of textures.
To pair it all, we ordered their Peach Ice—a refreshing drink that wasn’t overly sweet and went really well with the meal.
What makes the experience even better is that it’s not too heavy on the pocket, especially for the location and quality.

Read moreI visited the Dolmen Mall branch of Esquires Coffee yesterday. I ordered a pain au chocolat, but the waiter informed me it was unavailable. I then asked for three milk cake slice, only to be told that is also out of stock.
However, as I was about to leave after my coffee, I noticed four pain au chocolat displayed at the counter. When I asked if they were expired, another staff member confirmed they were not. This raised question about why I was told that Pain au Chocolat is unavailable in the first place.
It seems there may have been a communication issue, and it would be helpful for staff to consult the kitchen when they’re unsure about menu items. In contrast, I have had excellent experience at the Zamzama branch, where the staff is attentive, friendly, and actively engages with customers. I was incredibly disappointed by the service and the behavior of the staff at Dolmen mall's branch. As a big fan of their pain au chocolat, I have always promoted it to my friends, but this experience has completely changed my perception. I was looking forward to enjoying my favorite item, and now I feel heartbroken. I doubt I will ever return to the Dolmen Mall branch again.
I hope my feedback can contribute to improvements in service at this...
Read moreThe second outlet of Esquires Coffee, located in Dolmen Mall, struggles to live up to the standards and quality of the original, just a few streets away, on Zamzama Boulevard.
The space, finished in similar fashion to the original, but with thankfully more comfortable seating, albeit with more dark metal and dimmer lighting.
Unfortunately, that's where the similarities end. The service at this outlet is particularly atrocious, with simple requests (a Diet Coke with ice? - 10+ mi Utes, a watermelon juice? - 25 minutes) requiring repetition, and on average at least 10 minutes to fulfill.
My wife enjoyed her grilled chicken sandwich, which suggests that the kitchen is adhering to the high standards of the original, however I can only hypothesize what my battered fresh and chips taste like, because I was not served my dish even after 30 minutes, and ended up cancelling the order.
Chalk it up to growing pains, inexperienced management, absentee ownership or something else, either way, this particular location is a strong, stay away for the time being, unless you would like to risk your Sunday...
