Subway - Malir Cantt — Restaurant in Karachi Division

It was a life time experience visiting Subway Restaurant outside Malir Cantt Karachi at about 04:30 pm on 8 Feb 24 for the FIRST TIME. I parked just in front of the restaurant. Since it was the Election Day, I ensure to read ‘OPEN’ before getting down. The moment I entered I found four shabbily clad individuals sitting on customers seats who without waiting uttered unanimously, ‘BANDH AEY’. Very unwelcoming staff, visibly display inconvenience to accommodate any customer. I told them that why have they displayed ‘OPEN’ outside and told them that I am visiting Subway for the first time in my life. Then they said, ‘bread nahi hae, bann rahi hae’. I innocently asked how much time it might take to complete the baking process. One of them said that it might take many hours. On this, seeing my despair, the older among those asked the younger one to use the bread lying in the glass refrigerator visible. I requested for ‘footlong’ burger as recommended to me by my son. He said that you can only have white bread. I told him that other pieces of Bran Loaf were lying in the refrigerator. So he got them out. He then started preparing despite repeated slight cough while others kept him seeing and continued hot gossip instead of offering the customer to sit down. I was not asked any choice to sit down and dine-in that I had thought before entering, instead only handed over the packed burger. I didn’t have ANY CHOICE to ‘make your own sandwich’😜. On completion of burger processing, I enquired for any discount on any of the credit card, App or deal. The older man who by now had come to the till flatly said, “NO, THERE IS NO DISCOUNT OF ANY TYPE ON ANY CREDIT CARD AND THERE IS NO DEAL.” I told them that I read that Subway is giving discount on Standard Chartered and Askari Credit Card and ‘Golootlo’. They said nothing is like that. Then I said should I pay on credit cards? They asked to pay in cash as due to Election Day the internet is not working. I then requested to please check whether it is working or not if they had not checked before as I was the first and the ONLY customer today, the older man inserted the card in the machine and said that it seems that it has started working. However, in the meanwhile I opted to pay in cash instead of bothering them anymore. The whole experience was sheerly NEGATIVE. AND the taste was never impressive by any standard. It was simply waste of hard earned money. Neither the staff is monitored nor they are themselves motivated heading towards downhill for its owners! Will never visit them again! Advice to the management: CLOSE THIS OUTLET IF CANNOT MONITOR...

I would give zero if I could. I had a bill of 550 and accidentally gave 1050 to the rider. Called them but they did not respond, so I called FoodPanda from where I made the delivery. FoodPanda made a 3 way call to subway(malir cantt) and put me through. They told me that will resolve the matter and call me back in 30mins. I never their call. Afterwards next day I called FoodPanda again and went on with the 3 way call, this time they agreed that I will be paid back in full by tonight (Rohaan said this), they asked my phone number and address (which I gave). I never received my money back. After two days I contacted them again and this time the subway correspondent started arguing with me that there was no money that was given in excess etc. And after a long argument did not resolve the problem. FoodPanda compensated for the loss of my money and time. Whereas subway showed zero customer service. It is ridiculous that you guys have zero respect or consideration for a loyal customer....

If you are aware of how to make perfect Sub, than you should visit this branch because staff isn't always cooperative or in good mood to make good sub.

Also sub is always good when eaten fresh ghar aate aate its way too cold.

I am regular visitor of this branch and this is one of few good branches although the staff isn't very good. They won't add anything on your wish they will just follow the quantity defined by the boss.

Good sitting arrangement, safe environment clean and Hygienic.
