Visited the Chandni Chowk today, was disappointing to see such poor management from a restaurant that had clearly overbooked itself and was not prioritizing its customers' needs. Was so excited to try their buffet and made a reservation for myself and two friends and even paid in advance to ensure a smooth experience. Little did I know, this decision would lead to a disappointing and frustrating evening. Upon arriving at the restaurant during Iftar time, the manager directed us to a table located right in front of the door where the escalator was attached. It was an incredibly uncomfortable spot, with too much crowd and people around our table. Despite multiple requests to change our seats, we were met with rigidness, and no action was taken. It was clear that the restaurant was more concerned with filling up the crowd than catering to their customers' comfort. After requesting for a change in seats about 10-15 times, we were shown a table on the first floor. However, we were still uncomfortable as the entire floor was filled with men, not the family-friendly environment we were expecting. We again requested a table on the ground floor, but the staff seemed disinterested and more focused on letting in new customers. With Azan just two minutes away, we finally decided to sit on the upper floor and start our iftar. However, even then, our experience was far from pleasant. As we were sipping water and reciting a dua, the manager rudely interrupted us and said “ap uthyn yahan sy or nichy walay floor p ja k wait kryn” 🤷🏻♀️ till they manage seats for us, when they can't arrange the seats in an hour how can they arrange it now? It was a frustrating experience, especially since we had already paid for the buffet and were not sitting there for free. Overall, it's clear that the "Chandni Chowk" restaurant prioritizes profit over its customers' experience. If they cannot manage such crowds or prioritize basic customer service, they should not have taken so many reservations in the first place. It was an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience that I wouldn't want anyone else...
Read moreBuffet is always a treat here. The ambiance and food both are great. Their mutton items are very delicious and normally they always offer mutton items in dinner buffet. The parking outside is small and almost every time you have to park on road side as there isn't enough space available. A lot of options are available in the buffet and its scrumptious. The fried food like fish fried, fried chicken, nuggets and other things are great. Barbecue like kebabs, tikka boti malai boti are great. You can enjoy with both rice or naan which are again of different types so you always have an option to go with if you don't like one, you can have the other type. Palak paneer is great for veg lovers. Curries of 3-4 types are available in chicken and mutton altogether. Chinese and Thai food is also great like prawns and chowmein and noodles and fried rice. Fast food can also be enjoyed as they offer pizza bites and mini burgers too in other menus. Starters are also great which include tossed salad and soups as per the season. Fish crackers are also there when soup is offered on the menu. Desserts are also mouth watering like their mousse cake is great. You can have desi style desserts like feerni and trifle too if you're more into desi food. There are multiple other options in desserts in addition to the few I mentioned above. Mint margareta is served for everyone in the buffet slots and in dinner buffet cold drinks are unlimited. You can have drinks more than once if you feel the need and aren't charged extra. Overall a great place in terms of food and environment and you can have small events here like throwing a birthday party or small family dinners. They manage very well and again their food is a thing to try. Recommended for family dinners and...
Read moreFood: All the chicken items (bbq, fries chicken, chicken tempura etc) had a particular smell and weren't fresh or overcooked so can chew it like a chewing gum and other things had so much spices that they'll burn your insides (I love spicy food but this level of spices were so overpowering). I mean the chowmein and soup were nothing but terribly spicy. Service: I asked for a manager and a waiter introduced someone as manager to me who wasn't qualified to be a manager (he had no certification, qualification, or any customer handling ethics) with his attitude he denied any issues with the food. I didn't argue and just sat there with family really disappointed and wondering how they had sug reviews. I prepare before visiting and I asked specifically if cards are accepted or not. When I asked for bill a cash bill was presented and then another man cam into scene introducing himself as manager and making apologies and said that he'll accept a money transfer instead, I sent the payment and had to wait for 30-40 minutes there because apparently he just received the message but amount wasn't updated in his account. (Too much trouble for such food and atmosphere) Atmosphere: Too many tables stuffed into a relatively smaller space, which makes it uncomfortable for families, the narrow pathway between the table to reach the food was so crowded with people and their staff that you have to find your way back to your table saving yourself and your food from bumping into...
