We had the most surreal experience of dining out. Full of oriental courtesy, the restaurant owners demonstrated culinary expertise accompanied with qualities of good hosts.
We tried the Tuna Rice Balls, Jjampong, Ramen, Kimbap and Kimchi Jeon. Each of the Entrees was unique in flavour but Jjampong topped the flavour notes - rich broth full of flavourful herbs and thinly cut noodles - we could experience the same flavour in the noodles even on their own.
The kimbap was a savoury delight of soft rice, egg and protein inside wrapped in a crisp sea weed. It had a very mild flavour, but you could pick up the parts of the whole. I've had richer and spicier Kimbap elsewhere in Pakistan.
The side salad - cabbage, onion and cucumber Kimchi was well balanced with just the right amount of spice, sweetness and tanginess without overpowering the actual flavours of the fermented vegetables.
The tuna rice balls was an excursion into the wonderfully unknown, wrapped in crisp seaweed and sprinkled by sesame seeds and oil was grilled Tuna rice. It was so well put together that you could pick them up with the chopsticks without breaking them open.
All the main course meal items had a uniquely balanced flavour, it was all coming together beautifully. No ingredient competed for flavour in the near perfect amalgamation of ingredients.

Read moreWe selected from the menu and pre-ordered food for three people. (Expected cost a touch under Rs. 15,000, so not cheap for three). When we got there, we were led to a private dining room. There seemed to be no other diners in the house. After about 15 minutes the food arrived. Everything tasted of cabbage and boiled beef. Sickeningly bad. When I complained, the food was taken away. Waited for another 30 minutes but nothing happened. Eventually I walked into the next room where the gentleman who served us was relaxing on a sofa. He politely told us that there would be no charge and asked us to leave. We left. I believe they did not have a chef that night but accepted our order thinking that we would eat whatever was placed in front of us. Really...
Read moreSo kids insisted on trying out the Korean restaurant. Sad to say it is so overhyped, it's not even funny. Food : 5/10 frankly a lot better options r available at a lesser price Atmosphere: 3/10 it's inside a house, and you are seated in the dining hall or drawing room Service: very slow and food came in break so we waited for 1 hr for initial dish to come and another 1 hr for rest. Price: they don't show any prices on the menu so the bill was a huge surprise for us.
Be prepared to have 3500 to 4000 per head budget.
