Went to Fire and Steak in DHA 2 a few days ago after seeing its amazing Google rating. With such high reviews, I was really excited to try it out with a friend, but honestly, the experience didn’t live up to the expectations.
We both ordered steaks. My friend went for the lamb steak, and I ordered the ribeye. The server did let me know that ribeye has fat in it, which wasn’t an issue at all since I usually enjoy the fatty part of steaks. But what I got was quite disappointing. The fat in the ribeye was so tough and rubbery that it couldn’t be chewed at all. I usually love steak fat, but this was just impossible to eat and I had to take it out of my mouth. On top of that, I had asked for medium well, and while it came medium well, the steak itself was very hard to cut and chew. Instead of being tender and flavorful, it just felt like a struggle to get through.
The biggest letdown was that I came here because of the excellent ratings, expecting something special, but the food turned out below average.
One thing I will give them credit for, though, is the staff. They were very accommodating, wel mannered, and did a good job guiding us about the menu and explaining the dishes. Their service was honestly the best part of the experience.
The restaurant space, however, is really small. If two people are talking, everyone can hear the conversation, which makes it uncomfortable if you want some privacy.
Overall, the staff was great but the food and the atmosphere just didn’t match the hype. I left disappointed and probably wouldn’t go back unless they improve the quality of...
Read moreWe visited Fire n Steak house for the first time in three years since living in DHA Phase 2. I am surprised why didn't we visit before but I am glad we did as my birthday dinner was made memorable by the delicious food and calming ambience. The steak house is a cozy niche with Himalayan salt accents with clever Easter eggs and advertising. I loved their interior designing and especially the salt wall, it was the highlight for me. I also loved their medieval inspired walls, they reminded me of Altit and Baltit forts in Hunza Valley. Truly enchanting. We were served with complimentary garlic bread. The manager was very kind and guided us regarding the type of steak and meat of choice. We ordered a selection platter of wings, chicken strips, fried mushrooms and cheese sticks, stuffed chicken platter with french fires and a combo of steak cuts (rib eye and tomahawk) with sides for sauces and herb rice. The meat was melt in the mouth and so flavoursome. It was cooked to perfection. The stuff chicken was delicious as well. The portion size was huge but we enjoyed it all. Definitely will be visiting...
Read moreDishes ordered: Chicken nachos, Fettuccine Alfredo pasta, Beef and chicken Fajitas and Fiery Steak
Chicken Nachos is a must have for an appetizer but it could also be eaten as a meal. Pasta was creamy and rich in flavour albeit a little watery. Fajitas were delicious, came with 3 tortillas, salsa sauce, Cheddar cheese, lettuce and a creamy sauce. It was a little too spicy for my taste but it was tasty and the quantity was good too considering it's a single person serving. The only complaint I would have is that they only provide 3 tortillas (5 or more would be optimal) and the tortilla were very thin. All in all it was a good meal. Fiery Steak was hot and spicy( a little too spicy) like it's name, the meat was well cooked and was juicy and would satisfy most.
Ambience and environment was the best thing about the restaurant. It was clean, cool with nice warm lights and waiters were polite and patient.
Food: 4/5 Ambience: 5/5 Price: $$ (Reasonable)
PS: We were offered a complementary lava cake by the manager Tariq Saab, however it wasn't available so we were offered their...
