Just want to say we just finished a great brunch at Goldcoast. The food was served hot , the drinks cold and everyone very satisfied. The wait staff of Valentina, Saul and of course the owner Eldon do a great job. The bottomless Mimosas they serve up for Sunday brunch are truly bottomless. My favourite is the Cranberry. The pancakes and eggs Benny are top notch as usual for this Eatery. We have attended numerous times on different evenings and even when the staff are getting slammed by the dinner rush they are attentive, informative by explaining that things may take a little longer from the kitchen as they are very busy and they are always happy to see you arrive and always thank you for coming in on your way out the door. If you want a great meal meal and a great place to meet your friends Goldcoast is a great option. 1/2 price chicken wings Wednesdays and 1/2 price burgers Thursdays are always popular with local patrons so a reservation is recommended, but any day is a good day to visit Eldon and the staff for a delicious meal as they have a great menu! Hand made onion rings, and the veggie tempura are two of our favorites. You won’t be disappointed. The staff work very hard to ensure you have a great experience and leave happy and they truly appreciate when they see you come back. Thanks again to Valentina, Saul, Caesar, Eldon and the rest of the great staff as they have endured through the tough COVID times and are coming out the other side stronger as a team! Buena suerte en el futuro! Dale Sundberg , A...
Read moreWe recently visited this restaurant as a party of two vegans, and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. From the start, we felt uncertain ordering as it seemed the waitstaff was unsure about what ‘vegan’ really meant. This made us hesitant and uneasy, as clear communication about dietary needs is so important.
We also ordered a drink, but it appeared either the staff didn’t know how to make it or they were missing the correct ingredients. They kept checking in a way that made us wonder if they were hoping we wouldn’t notice the difference—definitely not ideal.
As for the food, it was underwhelming. The pasta dish (as seen in the photo) had clumps of pasta sticking together and was quite bland. The vegetable tempura was okay but far too oily and lacked seasoning, especially salt. The veggie wrap came without any sauce because the original wasn’t vegan, but no replacement was offered, making it quite dry and unappealing.
The atmosphere inside was nice, though we felt like we were being watched the entire time, which made it uncomfortable. If you’re planning to visit, I’d recommend opting for a table outside for a more relaxed experience.
Overall, the restaurant has potential, but they need to improve their vegan options and train their staff on dietary inclusivity and preparation. I might consider coming back if they made these changes, but for now, it’s a tough...
Read moreThe new owners are ruining what the old owner had built. The last straw for us was that they refuse to give the government reimbursed pensioners discount. Why? Because they are lazy? They have to submit a claim. SMH. Looks like we'll be moving our dining business to their competition. I feel sorry for their staff though. They really deserve better. Response to your reply: You did NOT give me a discount. You refused to. You just lied. Also my wife is a card carrying pensioner as my dependent. You would have known if you had agreed to give a discount and asked for our Panamanian ID. You also lied about explaining this to me. I was told "the owners don't participate in the pensioners discount" even though the government will pay them back after their claim goes it. Refusing the discount was bad enough. Publicly lying that you DID discount and that an explanation was gives is just adding insult to injury....
