Brazas — Restaurant in San Francisco

We went to Brazas restaurant, in San Francisco Panama City, 3 times while we stayed at the Aloft hotel.

It is a short walk from Aloft, and the meals are excellent!

This restaurant has asado (bbq) and other Venezuelan favorites.

The first night we ate there we had picada which is an assortment of bbq chicken, beef and sausage with a side of yuca (cassava) fries. The seasoning on the meat was amazing, the yuca fries were done just right and they had a 2 for 1 special on passion fruit margaritas! How can you go wrong?

We also ate a light lunch with cachapas (corn soft shell with cheese inside) that was extremely tasty. I had a papaya smoothie that was made from scratch as is all their juices, no powder mixes here!

The service was top notch, one of the owners served us herself. The food was ready in a reasonable time.

best pork belly of my life i had to write a review. i ordered the mini Cachapas and i think they didn't cook it all the way so i exchanged it for patacones. omg so delicious. i think i will try the Cachapas another day. every chef is entitled to make a mistake. honestly, you have to try the pork belly. crunchy and nice flavor. i will give the waiter credit too. he is the tall guy with glasses and a very suave personality. he didn't over serve. he recommended the ribs originally but i wanted something crunchy. i am definitely coming back to try more. this was a great surprise because i wasn't expecting to have the best pork...

Having the potential to be an interesting choice for grilled beefs and broiled chicken in Panamá city, this establishment is an example of a poorly run and managed restaurant. The prices are very low but so is the quality and quantity of the food. The service is extremely slow and unhelpful. I am sorry for the owners who spent handsomely trying to make an appealing eatery.
