McELROY'S Irish pub — Restaurant in Chivay

Dreadful. My partner ordered chicken soup and Lomo Saltada. I ordered Spaghetti Bolognese as the hoped for Pizza was not available as the oven wasn't lit. First the very good, hot soup arrived. Shortly afterwards my partner's main course arrived. Our complaint that this main course would be cold before her first course was finished was treated with contempt. Putting aside the soup, she realised the futility of her complaint; the rice was stone cold, the chips retained some residual warmth and the meat was warm but tough. After she had picked at the meat and given up my spaghetti arrived. Lukewarm spaghetti on a cold plate with indifferent sauce. Finally, I had ordered a glass of house red wine. Possibly some of the worst beef burger we've ever been served. It was one of those frozen patties you see in supermarkets and never buy because they're such low quality. It was thinner than my finger and inedible. My husband left hungry. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich which was a wiser option. Mine was okay. Chips were underwhelming. The place has no vibe whatsoever. A bunch of kids wandering about and cartoons playing on the TV to entertain them. They really shouldn't call themselves an Irish pub. There's nothing Irish about them apart from the sign....

Struggled to order 2 beers, a sprite and water First beers that came were very cloudy, with alot of sediment, they did swap them for 2 bottles.
