This restaurant has excellent bread and wonderful cakes. The disappointment was the sandwiches with delicious bread but grossly inadequate meat. The turkey is sliced so thin I could barely taste the flavor. As a result, I had to order a second sandwich. The chicharrón sandwich was better, after I complained about the first sandwich. The juices are very good, and the tea is amazingly fruity.
The restaurant has inadequate seating as the very large available space is poorly designed. As a result, finding a seat is quite challenging as many tables are partially filled with people or too many tables for two are empty. Also, the clients are quite rude with trying to cut in the line. Finally, the restaurant design provides for an atmosphere that is way too loud for a conversation.
With the limited street parking and the problem with the seating, this is not a restaurant I can recommend to my friends and colleagues. This is a shame as our waitress...
Read moreNice restaurant in San Borja. Order sandwiches, delicious pastries, a variety of juice options, coffee or other hot or cold beverages. They offer lunch menu options as well. The place is well lighted and spacious. All Covid protection with a temperature check and alcohol disinfecting at arrival. The parking is very small and you may have to be asked to move your car because another one in front is leaving. Restrooms are upstairs, reason why we say in the first floor. My dad needed to use the restroom and we were surprised to learn it was on the second floor. When they saw my dad heading in direction to the stairs, they told us they do have a restroom downstairs for people who can't use the stairs. It was good to know that. A sandwich and a juice or a pastry and a coffee for 4 was about 60 soles. That's about...

It was a little busy on the Friday morning that we went, but since we were just a party of two, we were seated promptly.
The La Nuez menu has a lot of standard breakfast fare (sandwiches, pastries, etc.) but the chicken sliders on croissants caught my eye.
The small, flaky and slightly buttery croissants filled with creamy shredded chicken did not disappoint. A hot cup of cafe con leche to accompany the sandwiches was perfect. We finished this outstanding meal with waffles topped by strawberries and...
