Pausa Café — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

This is the only coffee shop in the area that will give you a decent coffee. Located in the heart of Jesus Maria, very close to Iglesia San José. The quality of the coffee is ok, decent. As well as the food. I like the fact that they give you a lil something when getting you coffee. The environment is nice for an evening get together. Some evenings, they have live music or other performances to enjoy. If you look for a quiet place to read, a business meeting or to do some work, I wouldn’t recommend to do it here. I’ve been there twice one in the afternoon, which was quieter and the other on an evening. The coffee drinks I got are americano and cappuccino. With the americano I got a complimentary mini muffin, I like that touch. I also got a carrot cake. It was ok. Friend of mine got a herbal tea, she enjoy it and they serve it on a cutie tea...

El local es agradable. Atención muy lenta. Mascciato bueno, Mocaccino sencillo (esperaba más), su Americano no está mal pero tuvimos que insistir por la demora de 20 minutos en servirlo. Su pye de pecanas vale la pena probarlo. El pan que va con los huevos revueltos fue lo mejor, espectacular!! Las rebanadas de pan con semillas eran una delicia. Mala suerte, me tocó un pedazo de plástico en mi jugo de papaya, el cual enseñé discretamente a la señorita de la caja cuando me acerqué a pagar. Muy suelta de huesos me dijo "disculpe pero debe ser de la bolsa de leche". El problema que yo pedí un jugo de papaya simple sin leche!! Fui con el Pasaporte del Café Peruano y dieron muchas excusas para no aplicar el 20% en consumos mayores a 50 soles ofrecidos (pague 75 soles): que sólo es para el segundo consumo, que sólo es para consumo personal (fui con mi hijo); lo cual no dice en el pasaporte. Tampoco dijeron nada respecto a la promoción de 2x1 en cafés que presentaron en el artículo del diario el Trome del 23 de agosto. Y parece que la señorita de la caja era la misma Patricia Cohaguila por la foto que salió en el periódico. Una visita que fue suficiente para conocerlos, hasta ahí nomás, no...

A wonderful small artsy cafe. I enjoyed breakfast with my wife and kids and also worked remotely from here. The food and coffee were delicious.
