Restaurant Maguila — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

Sounds like something you could say too much in Lima, but this is THE BEST CEBICHE we have found so far. Better than any of the "famous" restaurants in all the ratings guides, etc. The service is casual and friendly, don't expect it to be fancy or overly attentive, but these folks hustle. The place was full when we arrived as well as when we left. Cebiche de Pescado and Cebiche de Maguila both HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, Sudado was solid, Arroz con Mariscos was good, Glazed Camote was delicious! We will definitely be back!

Going just to eat here is totally worth the trip to Callao...but the la Punta district is a quick walk and super nice especially...

The food is amazing, service and atmosphere are horrible. The menu doesn’t indicate it, but all plates are for 2 people. The waitress only mentioned this ten minutes after we ordered our food and mentioned we could not take out a plate from the order anymore. Essentially a waste of food as anyone would understand 5 people won’t finish 10 portions.

For the atmosphere I want to mention that the air fans are located below the natural light, so you have a constant flicker on the wall. To some people this won’t be a problem, I get really disoriented from this.

Not sure if they offer it, but I think take out is the only good...

Lo que hace una mala atención. He visitado el local en múltiples veces y he regresado por el excelente sabor y calidad de platos pero está última vez me han atendido de lo peor. Al inicio del pedido le indique cómo siempre que como de regular a bajo de picante y de ya me dijeron que los platos salían de una cantidad de picante, cosa que como antes ya había comido. Al ser uno de los primeros en llegar al local creí que mi pedido llegaría antes. Todo lo contrario llegó al último y con una cantidad de picante que jamás había comido y creo que no muchos puedan soportar. No lo pude comer y tuve que dejar completo el plato ya que la señorita que me atendió me dijo desde el principio que iba a venir picante. Pague la cuenta sin problemas pero con la desepcion de uno de mis restaurantes preferidos. Ya no pienso volver ni recomendar el lugar ya que no ahora ya no dan opción de regular la intencidad del aji. Me queda la duda que si pidieron el pedido al revés o fue a dedre por interrumpir y ser el primero en...
