Blacksheep Cafe — Restaurant in Máncora

During my time volunteering at a beach bar in Mancora and learning how to surf, the Black Sheep Cafe was my go-to place. I especially love all the breakfast options they have - my favorites: the waffles and the Chocolate Frappuccino. They also have many vegetarian options like their vegetarian burgers. The owner told me they make their own patties. They have three types and I have tried all of them. My favorite: the curry-chickpee burger. They also have reliable and fast internet so it's a good place to have a coffee (they even have cappuccino!) and get some stuff done on your laptop. The atmosphere is always very chill and layed-back and most of the time the owner puts surf videos on the TV. Had some chatts with him about surfing and he defenitely knows where the good spots are because he's also a surf teacher. The only downside is that it's right on the main street so there is almost always noise because of the cars passing by. But at least you can always watch the people and cars passing if you're bored ;) I'd defenitely recommend this place. Probably the best...

Pedí una limonada con albahaca sin helar, que primero me la trajeron helada, a lo que tuve que pedir la calienten y también pedí una hamburguesa de lentejas con beterraga, especificando que no le agreguen tomate, y si bien no mencioné nada sobre el guacamole, que sé que siempre lleva tomate, no lo hice porque normalmente es un acompañamiento del guacamole y no el 90% del mismo con trozos grandes como se ve en la foto. Por lo que al recibir el pedido le dije a la señorita amablemente que me lo hubiera comentado, pero que no había problema, ya que separaría la poca palta que había. Sin embargo, al cortar el primer trozo de la hamburguesa y comerla, me topé con un pan frío y una hamburguesa que parecía semisancochada y sin ningún sabor, ni siquiera se sentía un poco de sal. Me apené demasiado, porque he comido otras veces hamburguesas veganas y eso no las exhime de que tengan sabor, además de que sus comentarios en Google eran buenos. Por lo que tuve que llamar a la señorita y decirle lo preocupada que estaba, e incluso le comenté que no quería perjudicarlos devolviendo todo el plato, incluso proponiéndole que en su lugar solo me fría una hamburguesa normal, en reemplazo, porque las papas fritas que también estaban medio aguachentas, al final con un poco de sal se podrían salvar ya que yo tenía mucha hambre, debido a que no había almorzado. Ella me dijo que podía cambiarme toda la hamburguesa y le dije que estaba bien, ella me dijo que si quería las otras opciones veganas, le dije que mejor me aseguraba con una parrillera y aceptó. Pero a los 2 minutos regresó y me dijo que había conversado con su jefe y que él le había dicho que solo se me cobrara la limonada y que no me podían dar algo más de comida porque probablemente tampoco me gustaría. Le consulté a la señorita si incluso no podía ser algo totalmente distinto, lo que pediría, porque sinceramente moría de hambre y yo no era una persona exquisita, aparte o había visto lugares cercanos donde comer y ya era tarde. Pero la negativa fue la misma, a lo que solo accedí, y tuve que ir a buscar otra hamburguesa, que finalmente encontré al costado de Eppo, de una carretilla de una señora súper amable, a 7 soles, súper cumplidora y más con el hambre que tenía. Piénsenlo dos veces antes de comer en este lugar, porque quizás tuvieron un mal día o se olvidaron de echarle ciertos insumos, pero otra cosa es ser humillante al punto que no me hayan dejado ni...

We visited the cafe of an evening after our friend had read the reviews. Whilst our friend ordered the vegetarian burger and was very pleased with it, we ordered the American pizza. Sadly it was one of the worst pizzas we've ever had. The cheese hadn't even melted and the only meat on it was sliced spam, it didn't look like it has seen a grill or an oven. The service was ok. Since posting this initial 2 star review, I received a response back from the Black Sheep Cafe, apologising and requesting I return for a free pizza, which will be much improved. 12.12.22 Revisited and I was served a very pleasant Tuna pizza this time, much better than my last pizza.
