Chalet Venezia — Restaurant in Tarapoto

I had lunch at Chalet Venezia today with my wife and three friends. It was easy to book a table, though not necessary as the restaurant wasn't full at 13:00. The owner came over to greet my friend and recommended the paiche as it came fresh this morning. Luckily, it's exactly what we came for! Myself and my wife had the ceviche de paiche, while my friends had it grilled, with French fries and a side salad. I can only rate our ceviche and it was very tasty, with hot sauce on the side. My friends' French fries looked awful though... They had a beer, I had sparkling water with lime and a Corona Cero. The ceviche came at S.45. Service was fast and the ambience very nice. Iconic restaurant in Tarapoto. Nice terrace with constant mototaxi traffic on the street but with acceptable noise level. The service was excellent for the jungle. I ordered a filet mignon and the steak came out cooked to my order and was tender and good; however, the food temperature was lower than it should have been as if it took a while to bring it to the table. Décue, decepcionada J'ai fréquenté régulièrement ce restaurant en 2013. Le Chef était en cuisine et avait à l'œil son personnel. La nourriture, le service, etc. tout était excellent. En 2017 et bien c'est plus pareil, le Chef semble s'être retiré. J'ai mangé un pesto qui semblait bâclé au gout banal, le parmesan au compte goutte, payant si on en veut plus. Le garçon laissait dans son sillage un parfum très fort qui contaminait la nourriture. Bref c'est un endroit où je ne retournerai plus.

Frecuenté regularmente este restaurante en 2013. El Jefe estaba en cocina y tenía al ojo su personal. El alimento, el servicio, etc. todo era excelente. En 2017 y bien no es le mismo, el Jefe parece haberse retirado. Comí un pesto en el gout común, el queso parmesano en la cuenta gotea, pagando si se lo quiere más.
