The place is nice and clean. It has a nice feel to it. The ambiance is very cozy and welcoming.
I am just a little confuse about the motif of the place. There's a touch of asian with the bamboo and other asian decor, a couple of big Brit couches, their merchs have FRIENDS (the popular American tv show) logo combined with the CF logo, etc. But I guess they are trying to cater to all and market themselves as a very diverse coffee place. The menu offers Filipino as well as wetern food. Our food took almost 30 mins to get to our table with only a few customer around. We ordered the garlic longganisa and beef tapa breakfast. The garlic longganisa is ok and the beef tapa taste is less traditional. Both of what we got is not your traditional tapa and longganisa tatse so just keep that in mind when you order similar food like these. The bake goods are superb and the coffee is on par with Starbucks some might say even better, depending on your preferred coffee.
Overall the place is a good place to hang out and just chill. Free wifi for customers and plenty of space to bring your laptop or any gadgets to work or study. At least when we came in these was the ambiance of the place. It was Sunday early morning. I just don't know how busy it is...
Read moreI was needing comfort food - like a good, warm, freshly cooked meal that I didn't cook. And so, we thought to go to Coffee Project.
Obviously, the place looked very nice, very cozy, inviting, calm, relaxing, so that was great.
The one staff at the counter could be a bit friendlier, I think. She barely smiled the entire time we were there, or the entire time we were ordering. Even if we joked, as we ordered, she barely reacted to us, which was weird… Maybe she's having a bad day..?
Anyway, we ordered quite a huge lunch. We ordered the longganisa agio alio. We ordered the clubhouse sandwich, the continental breakfast, and a Danish. Oh, and plus fruit tea… Took a while before our food was served. I guess because we were one of the first customers, or they were just starting up in the kitchen. But I can certainly appreciate that they served our food, all together.
True enough, the food was satisfying. And if the goal was to have a nice, freshly cooked, comforting meal in a clean, quiet, and pleasant place, then the goal was achieved. I hope the girl at the counter is in a better mood now. But otherwise, kudos to Coffee Project...
Read moreThe Coffee Project was a shop that popped out of nowhere a few years back, but it has been able to establish itself as a go-to café and build a base of regulars in a matter of months thanks to its relatively competitive prices and of course, the elaborate and vintage interior. Anyone looking for a warm-lit, bookish backdrop from the vintage years will find this place to-die-for. And their coffee isn't half bad. I'm a fan of matcha lattés, and although theirs wouldn't be my top pick, it's still something I get regularly when I visit the shop. If you're ever looking for a treat though, their sweet potato cake (from Bake My Day) sold at PHP70-80 is hands down one of the best tasting pastries ever. At least in my...
