Ipponyari Japanese Restaurant Alabang is located on the second floor of Alabang West Parade alongside Daang Hari Road.

There are plenty of parking spaces at the parking lot of the Alabang West Parade although there is paid parking. There is I think free parking at the side.

We came here on a father's day sunday which is jam packed, the restaurant normally accepts reservations but on special occasions or holidays like today they do not accept reservations. It pays to really come early because we arrived just in time that it was filling up so we didn't queue up.

The service like every Japanese restaurant in the metro, very well trained exceptional service. Although, it was packed to the brim at lunch time the mere fact that they were able to cater to every table's order is a plus points to the crew.

The serving time was not that long they advised 20 to 25 mins serving time but it only took 12 minutes for our order. What a well prepared crew I must say and yes I timed it.

The price is surprisingly not that expensive for the orders we had I was expecting around 7k on the bill but was surprised that it was around 4k. Shockingly, affordable for a high quality restaurant grade meals.

The Saba Shio Yaki is quite small on the portions unlike previous japanese restaurants I have reviewed but it remained flavorful and the saba or mackerel brings out that taste that pairs well with rice.

The Oyakodon is cooked really well and it's a staple of japanese donburis. Ipponyari's Oyakodon is not only savory but has a big portion in my opinion.

The yakinikudon's sliced beef is marinated well enough that it has that beefy smell and soft beef It's a simple yet flavorful dish.

The Chukadon is an example of a non vegetarian dish but we asked for it to be vegetarian and they honored our request.

I highly suggest the Shima Hokke Yaki its one of their best dishes on the menu.

As for the drinks I recommend the Macaronge drink its a mix of Mango Carrots and Orange.

Overall, I would eat here again but maybe on a less...

Ideal for group or family gatherings because of their vast menu. You're likely to share dishes with your group given the temptation of wanting to try lots of viands.

Tip: reserve a table where you sit seiza-style.

Not ideal for diners who are expecting viands similar to Yabu (no unli-rice or -cabbages or -miso soup or -sides).

Ika Rings: 7 pieces of squid rings with potato salad and shredded cabbages on the side. Squids are just of the right chewiness, batter is similar to that of the katsu dishes.

Katsu Curry: there are two options, regular or spicy. I'm not exactly a fan of curry, but I found it good to be the katsu's dipping sauce. If in case you are a fan of curry, there's enough sauce for two servings of rice.

Okonomiyaki, Mix Ten (sans shrimp, due to allergies): I like Korean jeon, so okonomiyaki is no different. Meat and veggies are plenty, just watch out for sudden hits of ginger. Serves 2-3 persons.

Hirekatsu: Served with shredded cabbages and potato salad on the side. I wasn't able to taste it, but the wife nearly finished her plate. Note that the wife is a picky eater. ;-)

Takoyaki, 4 pcs: the downside of this dish is that it reeks and tastes too much of ginger.

Sushi, Chutoro and Aburi Salmon Mayo: can be ordered per piece so you can try all they have on their menu. These seem to be prepared skillfully since it didn't fall apart when I picked it up with chopsticks. You can feel full just with the sushi menu alone.

Mochi Ice Cream, chocolate: Mochi on the outside, creamy ice cream on the inside. At a certain point, 90s kids would think it's ice...

We tried Ipponyari Japanese Restaurant infront of Landers Alabang

AND WE FOUND MY NEW TOP 1 Katsu Curry!!!

The place was ambient and clean. Very Japanese!

Salmon Don ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was my wife’s order. She has very hogh standards for her salmon and she loved every bite! It comes with a miso soup that had me-so happy with the taste.

Katsu Curry ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Let’s start with the very crispy crusted katsu absolutely amazing. The rich, flavorful, and savory curry sauce with beef strips inside. THIS IS MY NEW TOP 1 favorite place for Katsu Curry. I can’t explain it any better. This is the taste of great japanese curry.

Okonomiyaki Mix ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ this is the first time we got served a freshly cooked okonimiyaki that isn’t oily at all. Flavors are delicious. Everything you want in an okonimiyaki. It was thick and the serving size is great for its price.

Gyoza ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ .5 - The filling was juicy and meaty. The sauce complimented the flavors really well. I would have loved the other side to have more texture from the crust the frying does, but absolutely delicious!!!

The place serves free coffee, and tea.

All these for 1200. The serving is generous for the price. I was so full after the meal, I had a hard time standing up. Hahaha

WOULD I COME BACK? YES! YES! YES! Don’t take my word for it. This...
