Started in the mid-80's by Bart and Angie Lim, LA Bakeshop took the place of Bart's Grocery in San Fernando, Pampanga. Now, it is being run by their daughter, Bunny. They are famous for their creamy and sweet Cheese Bread (P7 each) and their Spanish Bread (P9 each). We also got their Big Cheese Ensaimada (P130) and regular sized Ensaimada with Salted Egg (P40). My first encounter with LA Bakery was when we booked an early dinner at the most sought after Private Dining place in Central Luzon, Denlim's Kitchen about 6 years ago. Chef Dennis, who did not have any formal culinary training narrated to us that his "Kitchen" was the original commissary of LA Bakeshop, their family's business. He also proudly stated that we shouldn't miss trying their famous Cheese bread. We tried it then and we're hooked since.

Parking of course is tricky and this is the downtown area. If you are dining nearby, place your order here and just come back for it later on.

when this bakeshop started in San Fernando City, Pampanga, it was a small bakeshop and I would wait for the bread to come out fresh from the oven, really good and fresh.
