HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE!!!
When we arrived, there were only customers who are about to leave.. so we picked a good table. They didn't gave us a menu.. so we went straight to the counter. I left my bag in the table. The line was taking so long even tho it was a short line. While we were in line, a big group arrived. I was checking their fb page since they still didnt give us menu while in line. Then i noticed the big group picked OUR table. The first red flag was.. I saw the waiter took my bags off of it then told me it was "reserved" even tho there wasn't any sign. They moved us to a smaller table. Then i just let it go.. but we were still in line for 15 minutes and no still no menu. When were done with our order. We sat back to our new table. We waited silently but it was already 30 minutes and no food. Meanwhile, the big group and the other groups who arrived later than us ALREADY GOT THEIR FOOD. I still nicely asked the waiter for a follow up while he was serving other tables. Then 10 minutes later, he didnt even came back to us. Its almost 1 hour since we arrived at the cafe, so i got up to ask at the counter. I asked the waiter if "matagal pa ba? Kasi nauna pa kami sa iba but nauna pa food nila" in a calm tone. He didn't apologized or anything. He only said "nauna sila maam. Nagpre-order sila" As a tourist, i wouldn't know u need to pre-order also.. we could HEAR the big group picking their orders while they are there already. SO WHAT PRE-ORDER are you talking about. Even yung ibang tables, nauna pa nila bigyan. He served our food without our drinks so nag-follow up ulit ako. Then tapos na kami na kumain, wala pa rin drinks. So i asked the other server nalang na i-takeout nalang namin yung drink.
The annoying part is just bc we don't seem important, they weren't serving us fairly. The cafe wasnt even cheap. They didn't even apologized. Dinadaan daanan niya lang kami while nagseserve ng menu and drinks SA IBANG TABLE. If may lakad ka pa after, mauubos oras and patience mo...
Read moreAnother fancy and posh restaurant in Bacolod city. Perfect for date nights or catching up with your amigas. Their menu is kinda limited since their main focus is to sell pastries. We tried their spinach artichoke dip (cheesy & creamy with some bitter aftertaste), torched beef carpaccio (meat was tender, sauce was savory, it’s like salpicao but no Worcestershire sauce, has hint of vinegar or wine not really sure lol), and garlic parmesan drummettes (4 sticks of buttery and garlicky goodness). Nakibot ko tag 60 ang rice lol. Their utensils are very minimalist and aesthetically pleasing btw.
Parking is limited. Tables are also just few, best to arrive early or place a reservation. They have tables upstairs as well (with candles and all). Bathroom is clean and well-maintained. Staff are friendly and accommodating. We’ll definitely...
Read moreThe aesthetic is very pleasing to the eyes, but the architecture also makes sound bounce off the walls making the place a bit noisy when full.
Here's what I thought of the items we ordered: Spinach Artichoke Dip- A no-fail cheesy starter. Would recommend to get extra bread cause the normal serving is a bit small. Potato Leek Soup - Savory and hearty. Roasted Carrot and Apple Soup - Wayyy too sweet, almost dessert-like. Salmon Gratin - Cheesy goodness cooked to the perfect tenderness. A fave! Torched Beef Carpaccio - Very flavorful, one of the best carpaccios in Bacolod. Another fave! Frango Piri Piri - Fall off the bone tender and super fragrant chicken. Quite a large serving.
Overall Superb service! The staff were very polite, accommodating and quick to respond....
