We had a terrible experience at this place. We arrived for check in seemed ok….!!!! Then once evening came all hell broke loose we had some people go bananas next to us with kids screaming banging on the walls which were so thin as it was, that we were unable to sleep this was around 9.30 pm we managed to fall asleep around 10.40 pm only to have banging and screaming again in which we called reception asked them to deal with the issue things seem to settle for twenty or so minutes we started to fall asleep when all of a sudden bang again screaming etc went up another level so we went down stairs with our luggage checked out went across the road to the stone hill hotel took a room got to sleep and enjoyed our stay there..pleasant quiet very nice hotel..but before I sign off just want to inform every future traveler the room are extremely so so small more like a caravan room taps not working not so clean you can hear everything. I certainly do N o t recommend this place that is the Maharlika so called hotel. There is more to the overall story but I don’t want to write a thirty page essay trying to condense it obviously, hope this helps all travelers to make a informed decision on this place and finally a lot disappointed as I thought it would be a nice place to...
Read morePros: Staff were amazing. Just a call away and very professional. We requested a double cleaning before arrival, and they followed through without issue. Free breakfast was a pleasant surprise, especially since the room rates were already budget-friendly. You can also choose what time it gets delivered to your door, so no surprise wake-ups. very thoughtful :) We had a patient at Doctor's Hospital so being able to walk there saved time and hassle.
Cons: Unfortunately, the lounge was inaccessible during our entire 4-night stay. This was disappointing, as it was the main reason we chose Maharlika City Inn. I had to go to Starbucks instead to continue working. It would be great if the hotel provided indoor slippers. A family member with mysophobia felt uncomfortable using shoes worn outside, so we had to buy some at SM. While the room was small and clean, the aircon took forever to cool it properly. Not sure why (?) it wasn’t broken, just weak.
Would I stay at Maharlika City Inn again? Absolutely. I believe there is a chance to improve. It will be our first choice again, coming back to the Philippines.
